From Rougue To Luna novel Chapter 8

He released a staggered breath and stepped closer to me, his hand brushing my hair from my face. "I would protect you no matter what. You are safe here with me Lili."

I don't know how he knew I'd needed to hear it, but warmth filled me under his observant gaze. Every touch drew me closer and closer to him as his scent surrounded me again. I felt like a magnet was pulling the two of us together tighter and tighter until there was no air but our own.

I let the feeling growing inside of me guide me, and I pushed up on my toes to gently press my lips to his. His body instantly reacted as his hand pushed back further into my hair. His large hand gripped around my neck as his thumb stroked my jaw, pulling my mouth further into his and deepening the kiss. His thick arm wrapped around my waist and pulled my body flush against his and I gasped in surprise, but snaked my own arms around his trim waist as my hands gripped into his firm back. His tongue slid through my parted lips and explored my mouth, dueling with my tongue.

Every nerve was on fire and I felt a cloud surrounding us, filling into my every thought and movement. I was completely entranced. My entire body was tingling and pulsing under his touch and I couldn't get enough. It felt as if all of the air had been sucked from my lungs and replaced with his own as my heart nearly beat through my chest. I could feel his heart matching mine and my breath caught. I never knew any of this could have been possible. And now here it was, right in front of me. He finally broke the kiss, pulling my face back from his to rest his forehead against mine as he fought to calm his breathing. My heart stalled at the break in connection and my breath was shallow.

His voice broke through the haze after several moments and I could hear him slowly regaining control of himself. I wish I could say the same. "I'm sorry, I had to stop. If I didn't do it now, I don't think I would have been able to control myself."

"Control is overrated. I would know..." As soon as I said it I regretted it.

He pulled away from me to look down into my eyes as his own held a questioning gaze. "What do you mean?"

"N-nothing," I stammered.

Shit.

He held his questioning gaze on me as he gently stroked my jaw. "Talk to me Lili."

Suddenly, I felt my chest tighten and his closeness began to unnerve me. I couldn't think straight with the way he made me feel so close to him. I needed space out from under his touch. I took a measured step away from him, feeling cold without his hands around me.

"Lili, it's ok." He said softly, watching me cautiously.

"I don't know why you think you can run from me Thalia. You belong to me. You're mine. I'll make you see that however I need to." His voice dripped with anger and sent a chill up my spine, knowing he meant what he said.

"I'm-I'm sorry. I never meant to get away from you."

He snarled and leaned down, grabbing my slender wrists in his large hand and wrenching them over my head as he pushed me hard against the wall. He leaned in, his breath fanning across my cheek as he slurred. "You know I'm not an idiot. I know damn well what you meant. You think I'm stupid?"

I shook my head fiercely and closed my eyes tight as his grip tightened against me. "No."

He pressed his body hard against mine and I froze, feeling his manhood quickly growing against my hip. My attempt to escape had failed yet again. If I didn't reign him in, this would not end well. I nuzzled my face against his and purred, "Please don't be angry baby. You know I'd never leave you."
