From Rougue To Luna novel Chapter 88

"I've stopped the bleeding for now, but we'll have to watch her closely for the next couple of days. She's lost quite a lot of blood Alpha. But I believe she will be ok." She leaned forward, gently touching my arm as she smiled softly. "Would you like to meet your son now Luna?"

I sighed and nodded as I felt the anxious energy beginning to fill me. I needed to see him more than anything. Needed to touch him and feel him next to me. I needed to know he was real, and the he was ok. She disappeared for a moment before returning back to the room with a small bundled blue blanket in her arms. She slowly placed him down on the bed beside me, lying him between Rhett and I as I shifted my weight slightly to make room for him.

His combined scent hit me and I felt the growing need to place a kiss on his forehead before gently stroking his cheek. He was splotchy and pink and his large deep blue eyes peered up at me as he cooed back at me. "What will the little Alpha's name be?"

"His name will be Dominic, after her late father and Alpha of the Shadow Pack. Dominic Everrett Williams." Rhett finally answered, his gaze holding mine as my eyes slowly pulled up to meet his.

Tears filled my eyes as I realized what he was telling me. "So, he's gone?" I asked quietly as the tears began to drop down my cheeks.

Rhett nodded shortly as a muscle in his jaw clenched. "I'm sorry Lili. His injuries were just too great. He couldn't fight it any longer, and we ultimately lost him. He wanted you to know that he loved you." He said as he pressed his forehead against mine.

Suddenly, my mind was filled with the image of my father as he stared up at me, his face tight with pain as he fought back the urge to cry out. "Tell her Everett. Tell her how proud I am of her, and that she changed my life forever for the better the day she came to me. Tell her how much I love her, and that I'm sorry for keeping you from her for so long." He let out a tight cough as blood filled his mouth. "But most importantly Everett, keep her and your family safe."

More tears began to stream down my face as I looked down at the small bundle squirming in my arms. He looked up at me as if I was the only thing in the world, and I could feel every ounce of love Rhett had pouring through the bond as he watched the two of us in front of him.
