To the left were clusters of small cottages, big enough for several individual families to live in. Beside them were larger homes, intended for groups of unmated mature wolves to live in. Some for females, some for males. Many lived in the pack house once they reached maturity until they found their mate, but sometimes groups decided to live together.
To the right sat several larger homes leading down a path to the largest one, nearly half of the size of the main pack house. That had to be where the Beta and Delta's families lived. The largest was intended for the Alpha's family, but for some reason, Rhett chose to live in the main house.
I walked around the pack house to see the training facility right where Ivy instructed. She was right. It was a huge grey building that looked behind the main house. You couldn't miss it. I could hear muffled grunts and the sound of flesh hitting flesh inside and I had the sudden urge to go inside. I walked toward the building and was near the door when a male's voice stopped me.
"Hey you, who are you?" His hand grabbed a hold of my arm and stopped me in my place.
I turned slowly and looked up at him with a calm expression, speaking smoothly. "I'm Lili. And you are?" My eyes dropped to his hand still holding my arm and back up to wait patiently.
He finally sighed and released me, crossing his arms over his chest. "Weston."
I moved to resume my path for the door when he spoke again.
"Where do you think you're going? That room's off limits for anyone who isn't a pack member, unless you're invited."
I nodded and gave him a fake smile as I turned back. "Understood. Thanks for clearing that up for me."
I stepped around him and slowly walked back toward the pack house.
That's fine. I'll be back at 2 when I was invited.
I stepped through the doors and instantly felt a presence at my side. I looked up to see Weston standing beside me smirking down at me. "Did you forget something?" I asked sarcastically.
He laughed and threw his hands up in mock surrender. "Sorry."
I stopped walking and my brows rose. "What?"
"Sorry. That's what I forgot to say." He smiled and I tilted my head at him in suspicion.
"Ok. Thanks." I said slowly.
I turned to walk away when he stepped beside me. "So, uh.. what's your story anyway? I haven't seen you around here before."
I followed silently as he lead me down the back hallway, stopping in front of a large heavy door. He slowly opened it and stepped to the side to let me in. "Is that all Alpha?"
I looked up to see Rhett's large frame sitting behind an even larger sturdy wooden desk. He nodded once and Asher turned to leave, shutting the door behind him.
"Come sit Lili. Please." He motioned to the leather chair in front of him.
I sat down and he stood, walking around to the front of his desk and leaning back on it before crossing his arms across his chest. I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest at the sight of him in his office. He looked so strong. So in control. And so gorgeous.
I leaned back into my chair, waiting patiently for him to begin.
"I think it's time we officially introduce you to the pack. I wanted to know how you feel about that." He said plainly.
"I think that's fine. Why? Should I be worried?"
He shook his head and gave me a small smile. "No. I think they'll love you. I just wanted to be sure you were ok moving forward. They'll want to know why you're here, and why I was so lenient on a Rogue entering our territory unannounced. If you aren't ready to share what's between us yet I understand. I just needed to know so I was prepared for how to handle any questions directed at me as Alpha."
