Just then, a man and a woman, who'd been eavesdropping at the door, barged into the office. They were the other two who had signed the contract with Fiona. They hadn't heard the full conversation, but from Vincent's current state, it was clear Jackson had mostly shot down the deal.
"Jackson, what are you doing? Holden's part of the Kensington family. Aren't you worried about Grandpa Kensington's reaction? The three of us are elders of the Kensington family. Are you trying to embarrass the whole family?" The woman from the Kensington family shot Jackson a cold glare. But for some reason, seeing his expression, a flicker of fear crept into her heart.
When Jackson stayed silent, her apprehension only grew.
"Enough talk! We need to get Holden to a hospital. If we wait any longer, he might lose that hand," the man huffed, tugging the Kensington woman away. Before leaving, he threw a glance back at Jackson and warned, "You'll regret this."
Jackson couldn't care less. He stood up, dusted off his clothes, and walked past the trio with a dismissive look before exiting the office.
The three exchanged confused glances, clueless about what Jackson was thinking.
They knew the priority was to get Vincent to the hospital. But they were also anxious about whether Jackson would tell Grandpa Kensington about their secret contract with International Glam.
Grandpa Kensington was famously unpredictable, and they didn’t dare guess how he would react.
After leaving, Jackson went to find Kimberly. Kimberly had managed to buy a tiny amount of shares from other Kensington family members, though altogether they were less than one percent. Still, every bit counted.
Moreover, Kimberly had recently dug up some clues about past events that Jackson needed to check out.
