Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1823

An outsider daring to challenge the mighty Woods family? What nerve!

A fierce determination settled on the man's face. He just couldn't wrap his head around why Grandpa Woods would hand over the reins to someone like Jackson. To him, even young Fiona seemed more capable than Jackson.

The man picked up the contract from the floor, turned around, and shut the office door behind him. With a deepening smile, he approached Jackson’s desk and placed the contract gently in front of him, maintaining a composed demeanor. “Jackson, we’re all part of the Woods family; no need to make this messy. After all, I’m still your uncle.”

Jackson’s stern face remained unmoved. Clearly, he wasn’t fond of the man claiming to be his uncle. Leaning back in his chair, he twirled a pen in his fingers with a hint of amusement.

Fiona had mentioned this man’s dealings with International Glam and the potential benefits still on the table. Now wasn’t the time for a showdown, but that didn’t mean Jackson couldn’t flex a little muscle.

“Uncle?” Jackson chuckled softly, his eyes narrowing as the pen came to a stop in his hand. “Your shares must be under three percent now, right? If Grandpa Woods finds out about your unauthorized use of shares, he might just take them back. The Woods might not have room for you anymore.”

Vincent’s face instantly paled, panic setting in. If he didn’t realize this was a setup by Fiona and Jackson, then all his years hustling in the States were for nothing.

He swept everything off the desk in a fit of anger, slamming his palm down as he glared at Jackson.

Their eyes locked, and Vincent’s were blazing with a fiery intensity that threatened to devour everything in its path.
