Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1804

So, it was pretty clear Amy was trying to rile her up and mess with Fiona's big meeting plans with the Bryant and Woods families.

Sure, you can always reschedule a meeting, but if it gets completely derailed, it might never happen again.

Fiona kept her cool and didn’t say a word, but Amy suddenly snapped, “Everyone, out!”

Everyone felt the heat and shuffled out, but that didn’t stop them from whispering about Amy once they were outside.

“Fiona, what other tricks have you got up your sleeve?” Amy’s voice was almost a growl.

In the classroom, only Jane stayed put, unfazed and acting like Amy’s demand hadn’t even registered with her.

Amy didn’t bother with Jane. At this point, Jane pretty much knew all there was to know, so there was no point in covering anything up.

Fiona chuckled softly, catching the hint of fear in Amy’s voice.

“Are you scared of me?”

She looked up at Amy, her gaze as calculating as if she were appraising a piece of art.

“You're about my age, right, Amy?” Fiona threw in, seemingly out of nowhere.

She took a sip of the milk on the desk and continued, “Because of my parents’ constant traveling, the Stonnell family bullied me. And why did I go from being showered with love to having no choice but to leave the States? If I’m right, the Gregory family had a hand in it. You were the one who told the Stonnell family matron that as long as I was around, the Stonnell family had no future.”

Fiona’s words, calm and collected, hit Amy like a bolt of lightning, making her stagger backward until she steadied herself against the desk.
