A shiver went down my spine when I sensed him behind me. His eyes were already evoking unwanted sensations in me.
Giving a strange sensation that I wanted to stop. I had no idea how I could feel this way.
“Good Evening, Mr. Cannedy.”
Sarah greeted him with a smile as I didn’t look at him.
His eyes were inducing weird feelings in me. I bet he must be doing that deliberately, he knew what his stares were doing.
“Hey, Sarah. How are you?” He asked politely, not removing his eyes from me.
His one hand in his pocket, hovering behind me with a questionable smirk that sent a shiver down my spine.
I held my elbow and averted my gaze.
“Fine. You?” She continued.
“Good. Um… Saafia, listen.”
My heart began to pound to sense him behind me, faking a cough to get me attention.
Timidly turning to him, I raised my eyebrows, waiting for him to continue.
“Hmm?”
He leaned down to my ears, whispering so no one could hear.
“Okay. Everyone is looking at you, you are taking the spotlight. Jacey had begun to notice it too. You took your pictures, right?”
“Mhm.” I nodded.
He didn’t realize he was too close. His body was almost touching mine. I nervously look at Sarah and back at him.
“Good. Change it now and…”
He paused, shifting to stand before me.
“And?”
“And wear a dark blue dress. I saw one in your closet. Match the color with mine.”
He smirked temptingly in the end. Narrowing my eyes, I thought about it. Scanning around the place.
No one was looking, not even Jacey. Was he saying this so we could… match color?
But, not wanting to argue with him, I sighed, shaking my head.
“Fine. But, I won’t forgive you if I missed the ring exchange moment.” I warned, pointing my finger strictly at him.
And to my sternness, his smirk widened along with a victorious look.
“I know you will.” He whispered, winking at me.
I couldn’t help but to smile madly at his reaction, covering my face with my one hand, shaking my head. He knew me.
Giggling, I waved my hand and walked away, “I will be back in a moment.”
I went to our room. I didn’t want to change the dress, I could feel he was lying but for him. I agreed, I will make him take another picture then.
I changed my dress into a dark blue one, fixing my makeup also, adjusting it according to the dress. As I was setting my dress, I heard the creaking sound of the door being opened.
“Stop moving. Keep your mouth quiet. You cannot imagine how attractive I found you when I first saw you.” He growled, holding my hands behind my back, hissing in my ears.
Tears pricked in my eyes, shaking violently in dread to imagine what he intended to do with me on the day of his engagement.
Shaking my head, making them messy, I barely managed to release my mouth and shouted with a few tears rolling down.
“Leave me, you disgusting man!”
I endeavored to push this disgusting man away but he was too strong. Keeping me caged on the wall.
His one hand held my hair. I winced in pain and ended up sobbing.
“No one is going to come, darling. They are down, in this music and noise, no one can hear you.”
Fright traveled in my body, resisting his touch but he leaned down to my ears, kissing my neck. Shutting my eyes in revolt, my tears smeared across my cheek.
“Sam, please… get away.” I whimpered and when he didn’t.
I knew I had to do something to save myself. I gathered my courage and hit his foot with my heels, pushing him away.
“Come here-”
He growled and held my wrist, twisting it, making it hurt badly.
Before he could do something unimaginable, I screamed from the bottom of my lungs.
Calling the person who first came to my mind desperately.
“Dariel!!”
