Finally, after bearing that shameless motherfucker in my office after he took away my wife, I was going to teach him a lesson he would remember for the rest of his life.
I got my deal now I would start my revenge.
“Are you Jared Raz?”
The cops came to my enormous workplace. Though it was heartbreaking for me to have them over yet I bore with it.
“Yes. What can I do for you, Officer?” He smiled, looking up at them. With that damned smile with which he stole Veronica.
“Jared Raz. We have an arrest warrant against you in case of money laundering.” He spoke seriously, dropping his smile.
“What?! This- This has to be a mistake. I have been loyal to this company for the past five years. I didn’t do anything.”
A dark smirk came to my lips as I leaned on the wall against my shoulder from afar. In my white office shirt, sleeves rolled to the elbows, indulging in the pleasing view.
“Sir, please don’t create a scene and come with us quietly.”
But a scene was made, everyone saw and they took him away with them while he was pleading to prove his innocence but to no avail.
It won’t happen.
And to burn his scars to make them sting, I came to meet him in the jail too. He was working for me for years, he should have known I would be too cruel if provoked.
He should have stayed within his limits. He was a talented employee but sadly, he won’t be working here anymore.
“Please, it’s a mistake. Call my lawyer. I am innocent!”
“Are you, Jared?” My low, husky tone came, approaching her in my black three piece suit jacket with my hands in my pockets.
“I didn’t do- Oh…”
He was about to continue his pleading but stopped when he saw me, immediately understanding the whole idea. I raised an eyebrow devilishly, standing before him dominantly.
“I should have known it was you.” He growled, hitting the bars but to no avail. He asked for this outcome.
“Then don’t be surprised.”
I shrugged my shoulders, rolling my eyes to ignore the disbelief and grief on his face.
Becoming disheartened, agonized to fathom what he must do now to save himself from this predicament.
“Don’t do this, Boss. Don’t take out your personal vengeance like this. Your one allegation will ruin my whole career.” He whispered, begging with me to spare him.
He knew I won’t leave him this easily.
“Then you should have thought that your one action might ruin my home too.” I growled, taking a step closer to stare dead into his eyes with a dead stare.
He narrowed his eyes in hopelessness, satisfactory tears brimming in his eyes as he continued.
“You know what you did to Veronica, you destroyed her mentally and you are going to do the same with Saafia too-”
“Seal your mouth. None of your whining will affect me. You will see what I will do to you.” I scoffed, moving away from him as I had no intentions of hearing his useless talks.
“Please, don’t. What would be my fault if she approached me? If she extended her hand to me?” He pleaded with me, almost falling on his knees, looking down from anguish.
“Enough. Let this be a lesson to everyone who would dare to cross my path wrongly. I will create an example out of you.” I ordered, taking a step back as he cried.
“Boss, please, have mercy-”
But, I stopped in my tracks for a second and glanced from my shoulder to his measly form before me and smirked darkly.
“You wish I was kind.”
“Yeah! I will water it-” Before I could move out of the way to save my suit, it was too late.
She bumped into me with her hands all soiled and muddy ruining my coat, I adored to which I scowled. She gasped, moving back as I glared at her, rubbing my temples in frustration.
“Have you gone blind, woman? Where the hell are you going? You soiled my jacket.” I growled, curling my hand in a fist to not do something I might regret later.
“When I told you in the morning that I would learn gardening then why the hell did you wear a white suit in the first place?” She frowned, arguing with me instead of apologizing.
“Oh now it’s my fault that ‘you’ ruined my expensive suit? Do you know how much it costs?” I scoffed, glaring at her.
“How much?” She smirked, coming closer.
“500k. One of my favorites.” I hissed.
I saw her eyes popping and jaw dropping to hear the price, scanning me from top to bottom, blinking to perceive. It took her a few seconds to sink in.
“...For one suit?” She asked vaguely, observing me as she took a step back with a gulp, amusing me immensely at her reaction.
“Yes.”
“Oh my God.” She gasped… running out of the hall to the courtyard.
"What the-"
Standing still, I blinked in pure confusion, arching an eyebrow to wonder what I just saw. Her reaction was truly fascinating to me.
Baffled at the woman running away, I shook my head, curled my lips upward slightly and climbed the stairs when she was out of sight.
“That woman…” I whispered, chuckling slightly at her reaction and went back to my room to take a bath and be tranquilized.
