DARIEL’S POV:-
My mind was blank when I was returning, I didn’t know how to express felicity after being wrapped with an endless loop of troubles.
Sighing, I leaned back against my seat, remembering how I barely managed everything in Saafia’s absence.
Deep down, I knew she wouldn’t do this to me but I was infuriated at ‘how it happened’. What did Helder do to make MY woman come to him?
The last week of her absence was hectic for me. I first started by releasing Jared from the prison first because he had helped me a lot.
“You helped me, I got your bail. Don’t worry it will be a matter of time when the charges will be removed.” I told Jared who was astounded by my unforeseen actions.
If he hadn’t freed me on time, I wouldn’t have seen them together. I knew I needed him, plus he also told me about Jacey too.
“Thanks… But I think I deserve more punishment.” He chuckled dryly.
He had fallen into complete depression. The regret of cheating on Saafia, Veronica leaving him, all of that had destroyed him completely.
Sighing at his dejection, I waved my hand, “Oh, shut up. You are going to work for me now.”
“Wh- What?”
He was in a daze as the officer came and opened his cell, freeing him while he was not sure on how to react.
“There you go. You are free now. Now, come with me, we have a lot of work to do,” I ordered, gesturing to him to come after me.
He was never more than an employee for me, I never involved him deep into troubles with me but since I had seen he was more than a loser, so I took him to my abysmal world.
“What do you mean? Where are you taking me?” He asked worriedly when we entered my car.
“To Jacey’s,”
He made a perturbed back, looking as I received a call from Ian who had immaculately executed my orders.
“Ian, is everything done?” I asked, smirking at Jared’s bewilderment, indulging when he was scanning around in stressfully.
“Yes, Sir,”
“Good.”
Cutting the call, I turned to the confused man who just got his bail, becoming worried.
“Jared, do you know Helder?” I questioned nonchalantly.
“Your.. cousin?” He trailed off.
“Yeah,” I nodded.
“Nothing apart from that fact. Never saw you guys together. Yeah, I had seen him in the news. Why?” He asked, the confusion on his face told that he had no idea what I was talking about so informed him with a growl.
“That asshole slept with my wife.”
“What?! No, this has to be a misunderstand, Saafia could never do that-”
He gasped in disbelief, declining to believe that Saafia could do this. I thought the same when I saw them as it agonized me badly.
“I know that much. If you hadn’t taken my place, I wouldn’t have come to know. Thanks.” I whispered, curling my hand in a fist.
My jaw clenched only by imagining how excruciating it was for me to see them together. It caused me to lose my damn mind.
“Thanks…?”
He failed to know but I smirked at his reaction and got out when we reached the place where that cruel person kept my sister caged.
“Come. We are here. You get Jacey to me, I will greet Sam until then.”
I ordered seriously. I was honestly grateful to Jared because if he hadn't informed me, I wouldn't have known how much pain my sister was in.
With a never scowl, I entered the mansion, grabbing Sam's collar, I threw him on the ground, punching him with intense rage.
“No, no, please-”
He made a failed attempt to stop me but I won’t show any mercy even if he begged.
“Yes, Sir,”
He should have thought before hurting her.
“Thank you, Jared, if you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known what he had done to my sister,” I spoke sincerely, keeping Jacey near my chest, not wanting to leave her again.
The merest imagination of what would have happened if I was slightly late terrorized me.
“I did the least I could,” Jared only flashed a smile.
Jacey also turned to him, speaking sincerely as he had helped us a lot.
“Thanks,”
He was about to leave but I stopped him. I knew he would get overwhelmed if I took him to my construction site where I kept Helder chained.
If he thought he would go away after demeaning my Saafia like this then he was terribly wrong.
“Jared,” I called him sternly.
“Yes?”
“Can you take Jacey to my place? I need to knock some senses in Sam,” I asked, loosening my tie to show those who tested my patience a lesson.
They underestimated me as I was silent because of Saafia but now that I have made her leave, I could go freely.
“And Saafia?” Jacey asked worriedly.
“Don’t worry about her. She is at her sister’s place.” I reassured them.
I didn’t want her to see that side of mine.
I knew she wouldn’t cheat on me but I wanted to know- Why? And as long as she was here, I couldn’t do that. I didn’t intend to frighten her more than I already did.
“Okay, let’s go, Jacey.” Jared nodded and took Jacey with him as I left to see Helder.
