Beta Cody's smile vanished, replaced by a dark scowl.
He snapped his fingers, and two warriors immediately seized my sister and parents, dragging them out of the car.
Freya, still clueless, shouted, "You filthy peasant, are you insane?! I'm about to become Luna! Derek invited me here to thank me! If he finds out how you're treating me, he'll make you pay for this!"
Her words sparked a round of laughter from the men around us.
Once the laughter died down, Beta Cody sneered. "You? Become Luna? Do you even know your worth?"
His voice grew colder. "Do you really think Alpha Derek won't figure out who nearly killed his Luna? The moment you showed up, he suspected you. We've collected all the evidence and witnesses. We're not here to thank you, we're here to settle the score."
The smug expressions on my parents' faces faded.
But they still refused to admit anything.
"You're talking nonsense! What accident? What evidence? Slandering others is a crime! My daughter risked her life to save Luna—she even donated blood! Now you're trying to defame us?! This is unjust! Freya, we're leaving. We don't need to deal with these lunatics!"
They grabbed Freya's hand, attempting to leave.
A few strong warriors effortlessly grabbed them like ragdolls, throwing them to the ground.
My parents clung to Freya, screaming, "This is illegal! We'll sue you!"
Beta Cody looked down at them, his expression unreadable. "Sue us? Let's see if you even make it out of here first."
The warriors surrounded them, forming a tight circle.
My family trembled within it.
Even now, my sister clung to her delusions.
"Cody, if you dare lay a hand on me… Do you know how many times Derek and I have slept together these past few days? He told me he loves me! I look just like his Luna when she was young! He's been sick of that old hag for years, wanting to marry me! You must be acting without his approval. If he finds out, he'll never allow this!"
Beta Cody raised an eyebrow, then pulled out his phone and opened the chat logs.
I couldn't hold back a laugh.
"Dad, Mom, in Silver Moon Pack, Alpha Derek is the law. They've brought us here. If they decide to kill us all, at worst, it will just be a missing persons case. With Derek's power, there won't even be a trace left behind."
I said this to try to wake them up.
But they didn't understand, only attacking me like wild animals.
"This is all Fiona's plan! It has nothing to do with Freya! She wants to marry Alpha! She made us do this! Please, let our family go—if you want revenge, take it out on Fiona!"
I stood there, stunned.
At that moment, any attachment I had to this family completely shattered.
To them, this family was only about the three of them. I was never truly a part of it.
I couldn't hold back my anger any longer. "Who's dreaming of marrying the Alpha? Who saw the resemblance to Luna Vivian and started fantasizing? I warned you from the beginning—Alpha Derek isn't a fool! He's not as clueless as you think!"
