I sighed and decided to go home and have one final meal with them.
Just as I was about to leave, a luxury car pulled up in front of me.
Beta Cody stepped out and walked toward me.
"Miss Fiona, Alpha Derek would like to see you."
As I got into the car, my heart raced.
Why was Derek calling for me?
Did he think I was involved and wanted revenge?
But I quickly calmed myself.
Even if he did want to punish me, the injuries on my body and the deliberately left chat logs would prove my innocence.
Despite Derek's ruthlessness, he wasn't one to punish the innocent.
The car soon came to a stop. I looked up to see we were in front of my house.
Beta Cody made a quick call, and soon after, my sister and parents came downstairs.
They were dressed in expensive clothing, giving off a grand impression.
The three of them were as arrogant as ever, especially Freya. She already acted like the future mistress of this pack, even shamelessly directing Beta Cody.
"Cody, why did you pick me up in such a cheap car? From now on, unless it's a car worth at least three million, don't bother calling me."
My father chimed in, "Exactly! My daughter is about to be the Luna of the pack. How can you disrespect us like this?"
Listening to their nonsense, I furrowed my brows.
But Beta Cody, having seen all kinds of people, just smiled. "My apologies, I'll make sure to note that for next time. Let's head out now, we don't want to keep the Alpha waiting."
Finally, Freya reluctantly got into the car. When she saw me, she snapped, "Fiona, what are you doing here?"
Before I could respond, Cody spoke up. "Miss Fiona is the Alpha's honored guest."
Freya scoffed, a cold laugh escaping her lips. "Fiona, haven't you been pretending to be pure? But when you get a chance, you shamelessly try to seduce the Alpha?"
I pressed my lips together, my voice icy. "Who knows if this is an opportunity or a trap?"
"How dare you talk to your sister like that? If you keep talking nonsense, get the hell out of the car!"
My father, as always, raised his hand, preparing to slap me.
Dad said he wanted a luxurious mansion and a yacht, with dozens of cars from different brands parked inside—Derek could afford it.
Mom dreamed of emptying entire luxury boutiques to become a true high-society lady.
Freya was already thinking about where to hold her wedding, planning to hire the world's top designers for her dress, covered in haute couture jewelry.
I read their messages and shook my head.
The car had already left the city, heading into desolate depths.
Meanwhile, these three were so lost in their fantasies they didn't even glance outside.
Not long after, the car stopped in front of an abandoned factory.
Beta Cody sneered. "We've arrived. Please, step out."
Freya glanced outside. "What is this place? Weren't we supposed to have dinner at Derek's estate? What does this mean? If you don't explain, I'll tell Derek, and you can kiss your position goodbye."
Beta Cody got out of the car and opened the door. A gust of cold wind swept into the warm interior.
Within seconds, a dozen warriors stood behind him.
"This is at Alpha Derek's orders. If you won't leave the car, we'll have to help you."
