“Yes, Miss Isla. Nico mock salutes and hits the gas pedal harder.
I spent the weekend at his house getting absolutely shit faced. If I’m being honest, I’m still buzzed, having a line before we left is what made us late because we were busy laughing at his guards as they tripped some of the traps we had set up over the weekend. One guard walked through the front door to find himself strung upside down by his feet. Nico had indulged in teaching me some of his rope skills from his ‘boy scout‘ days and then indulged me further when I said how funny it would be to see his guards caught in them. It was funny, but it made us late and now I just need to get there before my brothers ask any more questions than I know they already will.
“This weekend was… Nico starts as we pull up to the school.

“Tonight.” He says like an order and then reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small bag and hands it to me. “You will call me tonight.”
1 roll my eyes and smirk, taking the bag-“I’ll call tonight. Now go!” I watch as he drives out of the car park. Just in time to see my brother’s car pull in and I make a mad dash for a tree close by to hide behind before they can see me.

Chapter 130
Mason:
We search the school for Isla. Through every hall and still no luck. When we get to the library Kaiden’s phone buzzes.
“She said she was in a meeting with Halden about extra credits. He tells us just before the bell rings.
“Text me when you have eyes on her.” Hunter tells me and I nod as we part ways. We have career class this morning. It’s the perfect opportunity for me to explain things to her. I practically run to the classroom, hoping to talk to her before it starts, but when I get there she’s nowhere to be seen. I take my seat next to the one she’s practically claimed for the year and pull out a pastry and coffee I’d gotten from the bakery on our way here and place them on her desk. I watch the clock tick, and the people file in. By the time Halden starts the class, she’s still not here. I’m just about to send Hunter a message when the classroom door opens and the sight of her hits me like a breath of fresh air. Her long black hair isn’t pulled back this morning like it usually is and she keeps her head down, so her it covers her face. Her books are hugged tight to her chest as she mutters an apology to Halden. I sit a little straighter and run my fingers through my hair like it might make a difference to look a little neater. She doesn’t look up once as she takes the seat closest to the door at the front of the room. Fuck. Okay… I probably deserve the ache in my chest from that. I’ll just have to get to her when class ends. I shoot off a text to the guys to let them know I’ve got eyes on her and that’s what I do the whole lesson, just leave my eyes searing a hole into the back of her head, willing her to turn around and look at me. Please, please, please, look at
me…

The bell rings and it drags me out of my haze. I shove all my shit into my bag and start my way down the stairs, but she’s already gone. Fucking hell. I run to the lunchroom and barge a few people out of my way as I cut to the front of the line, ordering two trays and another coffee and taking them to the table where the guys are already waiting. I put the trays down before I take my seat. None of us eat. We won’t, not until she joins us. It’s how it’s always worked since the day I first came to their house. We wait for the women.
“Where the fuck is she?” Kaiden asks no one in particular.
