Chapter 106

Luca

I can’t believe it. I didn’t expect to have a chance at being the biological father. Now we find out they’re triplets and one for each of us. A son. I will have a son! When we leave the hospital room, my mother and Tony’s are already waiting right by the door.

“So?!” Mamma asks us.

I pull out the picture of my son, Tony and Luciano holding out theirs as well.

I’m smiling from ear to ear. “Congratulations Nonna’s!” I wink at them both.

“Oh my god! Three?! Three babies?!” Mamma looks between the photos.

“Two boys, and one girl. Each with their own fathers.” Princess says rubbing her belly.

Mamma kisses my cheeks and then does the same to Ariana before kissing her growing belly. “Oh, sweet girl, congratulations!”

“We’re going to need to go shopping!” Madre says excitedly holding onto Tony’s arm. The three of us look to each other. I know they’re probably thinking the same thing as me. That’s not safe. Not with Alexander still out there somewhere.

“Oh come on guys, we will be fine. It’s not like I won’t have a whole army with me anyway. I’m not letting anything ruin this time I have to prepare for the babies.”

Luciano steps forward, putting his hand on her back. “Hmm…we’ll talk about it.” Earning himself an eye roll.

“No talking. I’m ready to go now. Come on ladies.” She detaches from Luciano and loops her arms in Mamma’s and Madre’s. “I’ll see you guys in a few hours.”

Leaving us without the chance of arguing. Tony’s already on the phone ordering men to accompany them.

Ariana

The first chance I got a little bit of freedom; I took it and ran. I needed desperately to get out of the house and feel somewhat normal again. Plus, I’m so dam clucky now and I want the nursery to be absolutely perfect for each of my children. We’re definitely not blending into the crowd with a mass of burley, suited, dangerous looking men surrounding us, but it is funny to see them carrying shopping bags, teddy bears and fluffy blankets. We’ve decided on a different color for each child, Luca’s baby will be forest greens and browns, Tony’s in navy blues and black, and of course Luciano’s special little girl will be all pinks and purples.

“Ohhh! Look at this!” Madre pulls my attention to a cute little onesie.

“That is adorable, Madre!”

Mamma is holding up a teddy bear onesie with tears in her eyes.

“I remember Luca in something just like this!”

“Then it’s no question we have to have it!”

Chapter 106

After picking out wardrobes for the bables we move on to furniture for the nursery and have found the most perfect bassinets. One green, one blue and one pink. I tell them about my vision for the room with the two boys bassinets flanking the little girls and they swooned for the idea.

It’s been about eight hours now, shopping, eating and regular bathroom breaks when we’re all confident that we have what we need. For now. By the time we’re in the car heading home I’m so tired I let my eyes close and drift off for a late nap.

Luciano

We’ve been checking in with Jeremy every twenty minutes to be sure there’s no sign of trouble with our girl and mothers. We really weren’t comfortable with the idea of her going out but what could we do? We can’t lock her down in here forever and she’s proved herself more than capable of looking after herself. The cars finally return home and the three of us tush out, only to be stopped by our mothers.

“She’s asleep, and by the looks of it, needs it. Why don’t one of you take her up to bed?” Madre says.
