She clicked them.
Both were from a restaurant.
In the first, Melanie was holding onto Heriberto’s arm and stretching up to kiss him. They looked just like a couple crazily in love.
The second video showed Danica confronting them both.
Seeing Danica’s face, Iris felt surprised with joy.
When did she come back from abroad?
She tapped open WhatsApp and immediately gave Danica a video call.
Danica picked up right away.

“Nica, when did you come back?” Iris was so excited that she didn’t even notice the anger burning on Danica’s face.
Danica gave Iris a sharp look. “Why are you so excited? Do you even know what just happened to me?”
“I know,” Iris cut her off. “Someone sent me the video of you at the restaurant.”
Danica felt surprised.
“Where are you? I’m going to see you right now.”
Iris told her address without hesitation.
“Wait for me. I’m on my way.” Danica hung up immediately.
Iris raised her brows slightly. Suddenly, her appetite came back.
She finished all the main dish and then two plates of soup. Just as she set her spoon down, Danica burst through the door.
She tossed her bag onto the sofa and plopped down in front of Iris. Seeing the half–eaten dishes on the table, she grabbed Iris’s used fork and dug in, still fuming. “I’m so mad at that bastard Heriberto and that homewrecker Melanie.”
Amelia came over and quietly handed her a clean set of fork and plate.
Danica smiled at her but kept using Iris’s fork as she stuffed food in her mouth.
Iris looked at Amelia and suggested she bring Danica some bread.

Danica had barely eaten earlier at the restaurant. She was starving now. As soon as she got the bread, she started gob- bling it with no regard for manners.
Iris handed her a plate of soup. “Easy, my lady. No one’s fighting you for the food.”
Danica glared at her in frustration and kept cramming meat into her mouth.
When the plate was finally empty and her stomach halfway full, she slapped her fork on the table. She asked as if in- terrogating a suspect, “Alright. Spill. What the hell happened between you and that trash Heriberto?”
Danica had been overseas for two years chasing her dreams.
Even though she rarely came back, she always kept tabs on Iris’s life.
Iris calmly pushed the dishes in Danica’s direction. “We’re getting divorced soon. After that, we’re done.”
“Holy shit!” Danica exhaled hard and slumped into her chair. “You’re finally doing it!”
j
Iris and Heriberto had been married for nearly three years. Danica knew exactly what Heriberto was to Iris.
He treated her like a maid, a servant, or worse, a prostitute.
