“I’m starving. Let’s grab some food,” Aurora said.
“Where do you want to go?” Ana asked.
Aurora thought for a moment. “I heard about this new Korean BBQ place that just opened. They’re supposed to have insanely spicy bulgogi and kimchi Reviews say it’s amazing–wanna check it out?”
“Sure… sounds good,” Ana said.
She’d never had Korean food that spicy before, but Aurora seemed excited, so she didn’t want to rain on her parade.
Truth was, Aurora wasn’t really craving Korean BBQ. She just knew someone who couldn’t handle spicy food, so she was deliberately suggesting the hottest place she could think of.
She’d been there with one of her artists before, and the heat was incredible. For a spice lover like her, it was basically heaven.
“Cool, I’ll lead the way.”
Aurora walked a few steps and noticed Theo following
them.
She crossed her arms and glared at him. “Why are you tagging along?” Did this guy have no shame?
“I’m getting dinner. Got a problem with that?” Theo replied.
“Nope, no problem at all,” Aurora said, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Just wait till the spice kills you.
Soon they arrived at the Korean place Aurora had mentioned.
Besides the spicy bulgogi, they had other traditional dishes. The restaurant was small but packed because of the incredible food.
Before they even got close, they could smell the intense, throat–burning spice wafting from inside.
Spice lovers would think they’d died and gone to heaven, but for people who couldn’t handle heat, this was pure hell.
The moment Theo arrived, his face scrunched up.
Aurora saw his expression and smirked.
Since they were far enough from the office, when Cassian reached for Ana’s hand, she didn’t resist. She let him take it naturally, and they walked slowly together like any normal couple.
“Can you handle spicy food?” Cassian whispered.
“I’m okay with it,” Ana said.
“If you don’t like it, we can leave,” Cassian offered.
He’d noticed Ana hesitate when she agreed to come with Aurora.
“It’s fine. It’s rare to get Aurora out for dinner,” Ana said.
“Don’t force yourself. Aurora’s main goal isn’t really the food anyway,” Cassian told her.
Ana nodded. She could tell Aurora was planning to mess with Theo.
Theo probably figured it out too.
Chapter 275
There was some weird dynamic hetween those two–Ana thought they were like a hirkering old married couple.
But she’d have to wait until they got home to ask Cassian about it.
The four of them sat down, each with their own agenda. Aurora ordered the spiciest items on the menu–extra hot bulgogi, ghost pepper kimchi, and fiery tofu soup.
“Maybe we should get some mild dishes too?” Ana suggested.
“Nah, anyone who can’t handle spice isn’t a real man,” Aurora said.
Theo snorted. “Who says I can’t handle spice?”
“Alright then. Whoever doesn’t eat everything is a total wimp,” Aurora grinned.
