Anna’s POV:

I felt my foot slip, my body tilting toward the floor. The crystal chandelier swayed in my vision, the ballroom spinning like some fucked–up kaleidoscope.

Seth reached for me, but I twisted away from his embrace. Just as I was about to fall, Ethan Hamilton caught me.

“What are you waiting for?” Ethan abandoned his usual reserve, glaring at Seth. “Take your wife and get out! You’re making everyone uncomfortable

Emily rushed forward, face tight with disappointment. “I trusted you! I thought you’d take care of Anna, but you kept this huge secret from her!”

I stood frozen, staring at Seth. My childhood nemesis in his custom wedding suit suddenly seemed unreachable. When he reached out, I stepped back.

‘I knew those divorce papers were fake, Seth continued, voice low. “In my heart, legal documents don’t make a divorce. The moment you wanted to leave him, you were already divorced.”

“How could you and my brother not be divorced?” Claire exclaimed, her face contorted with shock.

I felt suffocated. Tears welled up, but I refused to let them fall.

“I’m just sad,” I finally spoke, voice breaking. “None of you ever cared about my feelings.” I looked directly at Seth. “Seth Price, whether you get married today or not, it has nothing to do with me anymore. I used to feel sorry for you, but today, we’re even.”

“Even…” Seth repeated, a bitter smile on his lips. “If only feelings could be settled so easily…” His gaze drifted to Blake with a hint of mockery.

“You can’t walk. Let me carry you,” Ethan bent down to lift me.

Emily nodded. ‘Who cares about gossip now? Just get her out!”

Just as Ethan was about to pick me up, a cold voice cut through: “You dare touch her.”

Blake’s words weren’t loud, but carried absolute authority.

Blake wore an exquisite black custom suit. The tailored clothes outlined his broad shoulders and narrow waist, highlighting his handsome, almost cruelly beautiful features.

He walked toward me expressionlessly, expensive shoes silent on the carpet. I saw only his pressed lips and piercing eyes, like Death coming to collect.

Emily, seeing my pain, couldn’t hold back her tears. She rushed at Blake, tugging at his suit, her fists pounding his chest.

“You bastard!” she screamed. “I wish Anna had never met you! What awful luck to end up with you!”

“Emily!” I stopped her, fighting tears as I forcéd a smile.

Then I turned to Blake. “Blake, I just need to know one thing. Was my child’s life not enough to grant me a divorce?”

Ethan stepped between us but froze under Blake’s icy glare. Blake narrowed his eyes. “Get lost,” he said coldly.

The words made Ethan flinch.

Emily rushed forwan! again, fists pounding Blake’s back. “How dare you talk to my boyfriend like that?

Blake’s patience snapped. He’d tolerated Emily for my sake, but now he couldn’t restrain himself.
