Divorcing My Husband Over His Stepsister's Secret novel Chapter 233

I felt sick to my stomach as I watched Claire throw herself into Blake’s arms.

He stood there in his silk robe, deliberately unbuttoned to show off his toned chest. He thought Seth was coming over, not his stepsister.

But here she was, pressing herself against him like she belonged there.

What made it worse? He didn’t immediately push her away.

You’ve lost weight,Blake finally said, placing his palm on Claire’s head to move her slightly, but you’re still strong. You nearly knocked me over.

He kept his hand on her, shifting her from directly in front of him to his side. Say hello.

Claire looked at me, her eyes taking in the hatred in mine. Hello to whom?she asked innocently, as if she hadn’t noticed me standing there.

I’d had enough of this bullshit. I walked over and grabbed Blake’s sleeve, tugging it downward. He looked confused but went along with it.

In one swift motion, I yanked his shirt completely off, balled it up, and threw it directly at Claire’s face.

Look carefully,I spat at her. Take a good look at your brother.

Claire bit her red lip, her eyes becoming wet and slightly red.

God, I was so tired of her act.

Anna, what the hell are you doing?Blake frowned at me.

I didn’t answer. Instead, I pushed against his shoulder while grabbing Claire’s arm. With one forceful movement, I shoved them both out the door and slammed it shut. I could hear Claire’s fake sobbing from the other side.

Give me back my shirt,I heard Blake said to Claire.

I ignored him and went to the bedroom to call William. He answered almost immediately.

Anna, dear, what a pleasant surprise, his voice was warm, just like I remembered. But something had changedsome things could never go back to how they were.

Claire just came by to see Blake,I lied smoothly. She mentioned wanting us to visit you. We should have done that sooner, but Blake’s kept me locked up at home for three days. I didn’t want you to get the wrong idea, so I thought I’d call.

William chuckled. Oh? I didn’t know Blake had that side to him! Don’t worry, don’t worry. Don’t concern yourself with ClaireI’ll handle it.

Thank you,I said genuinely.

We’re family, no need to be so formal.

After hanging up, I wondered how Blake explained our relationship to his father. Why did William still think I was his daughterinlaw? At least someone would keep Claire in check.

Blake entered the bedroom looking annoyed. My father called Claire and told her to leave. You shouldn’t have bothered himhis health isn’t good. And I didn’t ask to see her, she just showed up.

I started selecting clothes to change into, planning to go out.

Blake followed me. She’s still my sister. We can’t just never speak again.

Chapter 233

I stopped so abruptly he nearly bumped into me. A wave of hurt rushed from my stomach to my head, and I almost cried.

We’re divorced,I said firmly. “She’s your sister, not mine. I’m done putting up with her. I turned to face him directly. Blake, as long as she’s in your lide lis will never remarry you.

He blocked my path. Have you considered how difficult this puts me in the middle?

Not my problem.*

His face hardened. Anna! You should at least treat me like your man.

He grabbed me forcefully, pulling me against him and kissing me hard, not letting me turn away. I waited until he was fully invested in the kiss before breaking free.

Blake stared at me, breathing heavily. There was helplessness in his eyes. After a long moment of silence, he turned and locked himself in his study.

I leaned against the study door, trying to hear what he was doing inside.

Open up, I called. No response.

If you don’t open the door, I’m leaving. Not much point in staying home alone.

I deliberately made my voice sound hurt, hoping to provoke a reaction.

The door flew open and Blake wrapped his arms tightly around me. Looking up into his deep blue eyes, I caught a glimpse of panic and nervousness I’d never seen before.

Over his shoulder, I noticed an uncapped water glass and a pill box hastily tucked under some papers.

For a moment, it was as if our argument had never happened. We’d somehow made up without words, though Claire’s name remained the unspoken barrier between us.

Later in the bedroom, Blake pulled me close.
