146.Chapter 146
The light turned red, and Teresa slammed the brakes.
They say a man would really want a child when he turns 30, and even more so when he has achieved success and no longer needs anything.
*Find someone else to have your kid, because I’m not giving birth to one for you,”
Teresa uttered.
She gripped the steering wheel, still wondering how Michael was not listed as Jonathan’s son when Jonathan did a DNA test at Donald’s hospital. If she told him that Michael was his son, would he believe it?
“Where am I supposed to find someone else? Can’t you speak more kindly?” Jonathan sighed.
When she heard that unhappy and helpless voice, Teresa returned to her senses and said, “Didn’t your mom introduce you to a lot of women? Make them have your baby.”
“Why’re you dragging my mom into this again?” Jonathan had no idea what went through her mind each day.
Teresa glanced at his handsome profile. “Didn’t you say Simona drugged you? Did your mom not react to that?”
Jonathan replied, “Her impression of Simona is completely ruined now. My mom won’t try to set her up with me again.”
Teresa chuckled inwardly, “Your mom doesn’t have a good impression of anyone. In her eyes, not many people are worthy of her son.‘
Soon, they reached the airport. There were lots of cars there, and it was dark. Teresa was not very good at parking, especially parallel parking; but, of course, the only spot available required her to parallel park,
She drove forward and backward. She repeated that several times, but still could not get into the spot.
“This car’s the problem. It’s tricky to park,” she mumbled.
Jonathan had been quietly watching her struggle and was instantly amused by her bluff. He finally decided to assist her and guided her in reversing the car, gently holding her hand and turning the steering wheel while glancing at the rearview mirror.
Within two minutes, the car was perfectly parked.
At that moment, Teresa thought Jonathan looked even more handsome. Why did she not feel anything for anyone else successfully unlocked! Start over after her divorce?
Only now did she admit it was because her ex was too outstanding. He was
handsome, smart, and calm; held a doctorate from the Alorian Institute of Technology; had life skills; and could even cook.

Her ex was better than her in every way and she felt blessed to have met such a man.
Had Benny not introduced them, Teresa figured she may never have met Jonathan through her own connections.
There was half an hour left before the flight. Jonathan bought two cups of coffee and handed one to Teresa. “Two creams and a sugar, just how you like it.”
“Thanks.” Teresa accepted it.
Jonathan sat next to her and glanced at her. “Do you think you can back the car up by yourself later?”
Teresa replied, “If I can’t, I’ll find a cute guy to help.”
Jonathan’s face darkened, and he flicked her forehead. “You’re really trying to annoy me, huh? I’m about to get on a plane, and you’re still riling me up.”
Teresa retorted, “I can handle it myself, don’t worry.”
“Mm, let me know when you’re home.” Jonathan pursed his lips, then added, “Text me when you’re bored. I’ll reply if I see it. If I don’t, it means I’m working.”
“Okay,” Teresa responded.
Jonathan gazed at Teresa and didn’t say anything else. It was rare for them to sit together so quietly without arguing or bickering.
The plane was about to depart.
Jonathan stood up, reached out to gently pat Teresa’s head, and hugged her.
His warmth and broad chest reached Teresa’s heart through layers of clothing.
“I’ll be off. Remember to text me.” He waved goodbye with his back to her and went to board his flight.
Teresa’s heart pounded wildly. It almost felt like they were dating. They never seriously dated, since they had a flash wedding.
Teresa returned home.
“Mommy!” Michael could no longer hold back and ran toward her, looking very energetic. “I saw through binoculars that Mr. Lime gave you flowers. Are things moving that fast between you two?”
After hearing what he said, Teresa remembered she left the flowers in the back seat. She went downstairs again and brought the flowers, the medicine he bought, and the gifts he gave upstairs.
The big bouquet of roses was heavy; and, although Teresa took the elevator, she was
still out of breath.
“Such pretty flowers! As expected of my Mr. Lime, he has great taste,” Michael admired.,
Teresa checked the time and said, “It’s half past nine. You should go to bed.”

“I’m not sleepy. Let me count how many there are,” Michael sat on the couch in high spirits. “1, 2, 3… 10, 11, 12… 98, 99. Mommy, there are 99 roses in total.”
“Oh, I see. Thanks for helping me count them.” Teresa chuckled.
Michael asked again, “Mommy, why did Mr. Lime give you 99 roses? Does he want to spend that many nights with you?”
Then, he puckered his little lips and made kissing sounds. “So many nights. Mr. Lime wants to spend his nights with you forever.”
Teresa immediately spat out the water she was drinking. How did he know so much at such a young age?
