Chapter 215
Erin’s POV
I awoke to the soft glow of morning light filtering through the curtains. For a moment, I was disoriented, the unfamiliar room confusing me. until memories of the previous night flooded back. A pleasant soreness between my legs confirmed that it hadn’t been a dream.
Derek was sitting up against the headboard, smoking a cigarette. The smoke curled in fascinating patterns in the morning light. My eyes were drawn to his bare chest, the defined muscles of his abdomen, and lower to where the sheet barely covered his lap. I couldn’t help but remember how he had filled me, stretched me, claimed me.
“Don’t look at me like that, little Omega,” he warned, though his eyes sparkled with desire. “Unless you want me to bend you over and fuck you again right now.”
I felt heat rise to my cheeks at his blunt words, but I couldn’t deny the immediate response of my body–the quickening of my pulse, the sudden dampness between my legs. “I wasn’t–I didn’t-”
His lips curved into a knowing smirk. “Your body tells a different story.” He extinguished his cigarette in the ashtray on the nightstand. “Do you want more, Erin? Is your tight little pussy craving my cock again?”
Embarrassed by his crude language yet aroused by it at the same time, I pulled the blanket over my face. “Stop teasing me.”
Derek chuckled, a rare sound that made my heart flutter. He pulled the blanket down, his fingers tracing my jawline. “Baby girl, what does an Omega have to be shy about with her Alpha?” His eyes, now back to their normal color, studied me intently. “Your body was made to take
mine.”
“I’m not used to this,” I admitted, gesturing vaguely between us. “This… relationship. The way you talk to me.”
He stroked my hair, his touch surprisingly gentle. “You’ll get used to it. You have many things to adjust to.” His hand traveled lower, brushing against my breast. “Including frequent fucking.”
I looked up at him, admiring the way the morning light highlighted his strong features. “You’re so handsome,” I said without thinking. “The Moon Goddess gave me a perfect mate.”
Derek’s expression hardened slightly. “In the pack world, beauty doesn’t matter. Only strength and position do. If you have power, you have everything. If you don’t have power, you’re nothing but prey.”
I frowned at his cynical view. “Even in the pack world, we should see each other’s hearts and souls. Our bond goes beyond just power dynamics.”
“You’re too young to understand the complexities of pack politics, little Omega,” he said dismissively.
Annoyed at being talked down to, I sat up abruptly, forgetting my nakedness. The blanket fell to my waist, and I quickly covered my breasts with my arms, despite the intimacy we had shared.
Derek’s eyes darkened as they roamed over what he could see of my body. “You don’t want to keep my wolf calm, do you?” he asked, his voice dropping to a dangerous purr. “Because showing me those perfect tits and then hiding them is only making him want to pin you down and remind you who’s in charge.”
Before I could respond, he leaned forward and captured my lips in a hungry kiss. His hands easily pulled mine away from my chest, exposing me to his hungry gaze. Within moments, I was on my back again, Derek’s powerful body covering mine as he claimed me once more.
“Spread your legs for me, he commanded, and I obeyed without hesitation, my body already primed and ready for him.
This time, there was less pain and more pleasure as our bodies joined. I was more aware of the details–the way his muscles flexed with each movement, the scent of our mingled arousal, the sound of skin against skin. I wrapped my legs around his waist, drawing him deeper, wanting to feel every inch of him.

“That’s it,” he groaned. “Take all of me. Show me you’re mine.”
When it was over, I lay boneless and satisfied beside him, my body covered in marks. I couldn’t help but trace my fingers over the love bites on. my neck and breasts, each one a reminder of his passion.
Later that afternoon, I began preparing to leave. We were scheduled to return to Darkwood territory that evening, leaving the Silverpine Pack’s lands behind.
As I gathered my things, I noticed a small packet on the nightstand that hadn’t been there earlier. It contained wolf–specific contraceptive pills, specially formulated for our kind. Derek must have had someone deliver them while I was in the shower.
I swallowed one without hesitation. Though I had occasionally daydreamed about what a family with Derek might look like–strong sons with his commanding presence or daughters with his piercing eyes–1 knew now wasn’t the time. We had only just completed our bond, and there was still so much uncertainty ahead.
My phone buzzed with a message from Derek: [I’m waiting in the black SUV outside. Don’t be long.]
I checked the room one last time before heading downstairs to check out. The receptionist smiled knowingly at me, and I wondered if my new status as Derek’s mate was somehow visible to others. Perhaps it was the way I moved–slightly more carefully than usual–or maybe it was the faint marks visible above my collar. The thought that everyone could see I belonged to Derek should have embarrassed me, but instead I felt a strange pride.
Derek was waiting in a luxurious SUV, his security team member in the driver’s seat. He opened the door for me, head to toe.
“How are you feeling?” he asked, a flicker of concern passing through his eyes.
