Bonded to My Ex's Alpha Brother (by CalebWhite) novel Chapter 203

Chapter 203

Erin’s POV

My eyes widened as the implication of his words sank in. One bedroom?I repeated, my voice barely above a whisper.

Derek’s gaze intensified, his eyes beginning to glow with that golden hue that indicated his wolf was close to the surface. What did you think would happen, little Omega?he asked, his voice a dangerous purr.

My face burned as I quickly turned away, rushing toward the bedroom door and pushing it open. I closed it firmly behind me, leaning against it as my heart raced in my chest.

The bedroom was just as impressive as the living roomperhaps even more so. A massive kingsized bed dominated the space, draped in luxurious linens. Another wall of windows showcased the same stunning view of the lake, and a seating area with a leather sofa occupied one corner. A bottle of champagne chilled in an ice bucket beside the bed, two crystal flutes waiting beside it.

“Only a Pack Alpha would stay in a place like this,I murmured to myself, running my fingers along the silky bedspread. How could I forget who he is? He’s Alpha Derek Stone, the most powerful wolf in the Darkwood Pack.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the main entrance of the suite. I heard Derek’s footsteps and then voices as he spoke to someone. Curious, I cracked open the bedroom door and peered out, hoping to retrieve my suitcase.

Derek was standing at the door speaking to a hotel staff member who had brought our luggage. As I took a step toward them, Derek’s voice carried clearly across the room.

Do you remember what happened to the last person who disrespected me?he asked the staff member, his tone conversational but with an underlying edge.

The young man nodded nervously. They were expelled from the pack, Alpha.

I froze midstep, my eyes meeting Derek’s across the room. There was a warning in his gaze, the golden flecks in his irises more pronounced.

I always give people chances, you know,Derek continued, still looking directly at me. But if someone pushes my patience-

I didn’t wait to hear the rest. I spun around and darted back into the bedroom, shutting the door firmly behind me. My heart pounded in my chest as I leaned against the door, trying to calm my breathing,

Was he warning me not to try to escape? To behave myself while we were here? Or was he just making casual conversation with the staff member?

He’s just teasing me,I whispered to myself, trying to believe it. He wouldn’t really hurt me. I’m his squl bond.

After taking a few minutes to compose myself, I decided to take advantage of the luxurious bathroom attached to the bedroom. It was a marvel of marble and glass, with a walkin shower, a deep soaking tub, and even a small sauna in the corner.

1 laid out my clothes for the evening on the bed, then gathered what I needed for a shower. The hot water helped calm my nerves, and I spent longer than necessary enjoying the multiple shower heads and expensive toiletries provided by the hotel.

It wasn’t until I was stepping out of the shower, wrapping myself in a plush white towel, that I realized my mistake. In my haste to escape Derek’s intense gaze earlier, I had forgotten to bring clean clothes into the bathroom with me.

Great job, Erin, I muttered to myself, securing the towel around my body. How could you be so careless?

Taking a deep breath, I opened the bathroom door and stepped into the bedroom, intending to quickly grab my clothes from where I’d laid them out on the bed.

Chapter 203

As I approached the closet where my suitcase had been placed, I heard footsteps approaching from the living room. My heart leapt into my throat as I realized I had forgotten to lock the bedroom door in my rush to shower.

I made a desperate dash toward the door, but it was too late. The handle turned, and Derek walked in, his tall frame filling the doorway.

Time seemed to freeze as we stared at each other. I clutched desperately at my towel, which had loosened in my rush to the door, now barely covering my body. The short towel exposed most of my thighs, and I could feel one side slipping dangerously, revealing half of my breast before I managed to grab it.

Derek’s gaze traveled slowly from my shocked face down to my barely covered body, his eyes flashing golden as his wolf responded to the sight

of me.

AAlpha, 1 stammered, unable to form any other words.

Derek’s expression transformed into something dangerous and possessive as he took a step toward me.

Well, well, little Omega,he said, his voice a deep rumble that sent shivers through my body. We’ve barely arrived, and you’re already trying to seduce me.

I backed away instinctively, my bare feet silent against the plush carpet. I wasn’tI forgot my clothes-*

My back hit the edge of the bed, halting my retreat. Derek continued his advance until he stood directly before me, close enough that I could feel the heat radiating from his body. The scent of him overwhelmed my senses, making my head swim.

Is that so?he murmured, lifting a hand to trace the line of my collarbone with his fingertip. The simple touch sent a jolt of electricity through me, and I couldn’t suppress a small gasp. Your body tells a different story, Erin.

He was right. Despite my protests, my body was betraying me. My skin flushed with heat, my pulse raced, and I could feel the unmistakable pull of the soul bond between us, urging me to close the remaining distance.
