--------------------------------------------------------
Th pack house had been silent in grieving as we arrived with the bodies of wolves that were lost.
A total of sixty.
Sixty of our family members died because of me, because of a crazed man.
"Babe its not your fault." Caleb whispered his hold on my waist tightening as he kissed the side of my head.
Nodding, I smiled softly at him as he was called. I continued walking with my head low.
It was my fault.
And their death would follow me everywhere.
Walking down the row of bodies I took in every detail of my family.
Some were young- eighteen was the youngest. And the eldest had been thirty. Each one had a family mourning at their side.
Peter.
Covering my mouth I choked down a sob as I took in the young mangled body that belonged to Peter.
A boy I had spoken to yesterday. Who had blushed so easily. He had been there, at my apartment when they came.
"Peter, have you seen Pete? Ms. Dawn have you seen him?" Looking around my gaze fell on a five year old girl pushing her way through the mourning crowd.
As her brown eyes caught my own she looked down and froze.
Her cheeks began to pale as her eyes grew wide.
Rushing to her I picked her up just as she began to thrash in my hold.
"No! Pete! No!" She sobbed as she tried to go to his side.
Soothing her I carried her away from the bodies and to the entry of the pack house. Sitting down on the floor I rocked her as she sobbed and punched.
"I'm so sorry sweetie. I'm so sorry. It's going to be okay. I'm so sorry." I repeated over and over again as tears slid down as she cried.
Her sobs began to quiet down until they became quiet whimpers.
I kept rocking her until her breath evened out.
Catching Adrian's gaze I waved him over.
"Ariana I'm so glad you're okay." He rushed kissing the top of my head before looking down at the little girl.
"She's peters sister. Look for her parents please." I begged. Nodding he looked down at her once more before setting off.
Making sure I had a good grip on her small body. I stood to my feet and took her inside the pack house. It was eerily quiet as I made my way into Caleb's room.
Laying her down. I smoothed down her blonde locks. She had Peters lips. The top lip was slightly bigger than the bottom. And a beauty mark on her bottom right eye.
She was Peters Minnie replica.
