Throwing him to the side I began making my way to the middle of the fight. Ignoring Caleb's growl of warning.
My thoughts were on one thing.
Take down Heath. And his pack will stop.
"Ariana stay back!" Jacob shouted fighting his way to my side.
Hissing at him I pushed my way through. Making sure to snap as many of Heath's packs bones.
Keeping it only to their legs and jaws.
I just had to get to Heath.
This would all stop.
"Ariana!" Hissing I snatched my hand back from their hold, ready to slit their necks.
"Stop!" Cringing away I looked up to meet her glare. The woman who had came with Caleb.
Her long brown hair was tangled with leaves and coated with blood. Her clothes remained untouched like she wasn't fighting and her eyes were flashing between black and red - just as mine had.
"Stay behind me. I'll lead you." She commanded before fighting her way through the mass of fighting men.
The way she fought could only be described as graceful.
Even with the gory way she killed them. Pushing her hand through their chest, ripping out their hearts, their throats.
They all fell dead to her feet and she moved on like it was an everyday occurrence.
Who the hell was she?
"Go! Now!" Nodding I blurred up the steps pushing down a wolf as he stepped in my way.
The halls were quiet. The sound from the fight outside was a murmur.
Straining my ears I could faintly hear a heartbeat. Following the sound I made my way to a closed door.
"Ben, you kill that leech!" He shouted as a fit of cough hit him. Making him wheeze.
"Alpha you said not to touch the Luna."
"She is a leech Ben! You kill her or I'll make sure Katrina gets burned."
I could feel the familiar tug of my anger pulling me under. The pressure in my gums made me shut my eyes and groan in pain.
Opening my eyes I breathed in, the poison from my fangs had made Heath's scent faint.
The smell of decay overpowering his woodsy smell.
Kicking down the door I did a quick overview of the room.
It was plain and untouched. With only Heath laying on the bed and Ben standing at his side.
He had sent out his security to fight. He was losing and he knew it.
He couldn't run and he knew it. It was over.
"We came to say goodbye son." Alpha Embers replied smoothing down Heath's dampened brown locks.
Heath shook his hand off and tried to move away only to howl in pain.
"Please Heath. Stop this. Please!" Mrs. Embers cried as she stood in the entryway. Covering her mouth with her palm she looked away from her son as tears slid down her paled cheeks.
"Mother...." Heath groaned before he clutched onto his chest. The poison was only minutes away now.
"I'll give you time." I mumbled looking to the floor as I rushed out of the room, Ben and Katrina following after. Running out I could still hear Mrs. Embers cry out as Heath let out a scream of pain.
Making my way outside I took in the sight.
My pack stood to the right side checking injuries and collecting those who had died.
To my left stood the Embers pack restraining Heath's pack as they heard their Alpha's cries.
"There you are!" Throwing my arms around Caleb I took in his scent and allowed my body to relax into his hold.
He was safe. We were okay. It was over.
"Why don't you ever listen!" He growled before taking my lips with his.
Smiling I kissed him back my fingers intertwining in his hair.
