I couldn’t help but feel a massive headache as I realized I had no idea how James had discovered my pregnancy. The secret I’d been carefully guarding was now completely exposed.
My aunt Sophia immediately surrounded me with concerned inquiries, her face beaming with joy. Her wolf’s
scent elevated with excitement.
“You child, how could you hide such big news as pregnancy from your family! This is wonderful news!”
Aunt Sophia continued questioning about my pregnancy duration, expressing concern that my belly wasn’t showing much yet.
She immediately began planning to buy venison to prepare nourishing stews for me.
“Proper nutrition during pregnancy is crucial for both mother and pup,” she declared. “The Northern Territory has the best game meat.”

“Aunt Sophia, please don’t try to persuade me. I will not re–mark with Alexander under any circumstances.” Aunt Sophia was stunned, her amber eyes widening with worry.
“But what about your pup?”
“I will give birth to my child and raise him myself,” I declared with determination.
My hand instinctively moved protectively to my belly.

I retorted sharply, my wolf bristling defensively.

Before I could reply, Aunt Sophia quickly grabbed my arm.
“Alright, don’t argue with James! He’s doing this for your good!”
She continued with concern.
“You need to be careful of the pup in your belly. What if you get stressed and harm the little one?”
Aunt Sophia was trying to mediate, but to me, she was clearly siding with James.”
I knew this was typical of her. She always favored James, regardless of who was right or wrong.

“Your apartment is big and spacious, and it must be lonely living alone. Now that you’re pregnant, I can move my family in to take care of you.”
“But this isn’t my apartment,” I protested weakly.
“Even if it’s rented, that doesn’t matter,” she dismissed with a wave. “I can help with housework and cook*
