You're Not My Mate novel Chapter 44

"That was quick, and boring." He said I only laughed.

"I could tell. If it was fun it would have lasted longer."

"I don't think your fight will be so short. I think you will make Okalen suffer for a bit." He stated I only nodded as I walked past him and into the ring meeting Okalen. Everything went silent, everyone could tell that something had happened with me and him. I glared at him and he gulped. From the corner of my eye I could see everyone in my viewing balcony was tense and studying us. I held Soul tightly as memories for that night came into my head, I shook my head to clear them as I quickly looked at Logan, he had a blank look of his face but his eyes held worry. I closed my eyes, completely focusing on the fight not letting anything into my head. I grounded my self to the floor in my fighting stance. I sensed movement of Okalen coming at me at a fast pace. I opened my eyes and dodged his attack, I grabbed his shoulder and flipped him over my own shoulder. I straddled his abdomen and pinned the arm that had his mini sword down with my heel pressing on a pressure point in his arm. I reached over and disarmed him taking the mini sword and throwing it a few meters in front of us it landed with it's blade half way into the ground. I leaned forward slightly, pressing Soul's blade into his shoulder, he cried in agony as I pressed a hidden button on Soul's handle that made acidic fluid flow into him, it acted quickly and completely dissolved his shoulder. Now completely in agony, with one arm detached, and acidic fluid still in his blood stream, I stabbed him one more time in his heart letting more acidic fluid enter his bloodstream. But now before it killed him I gave him the last words he will ever hear.

"I hope you had your fun. Because I'm having my fun. I don't give a single damn shit about what Sean did to your lady friend, she was a bitch, now you are suffering the repercussions of what you did to me. Goodbye Okalen." I jumped off of his and let the acid in his blood stream dissolve him, his screams encouraging the wickedly sadistic smile on my face. The crowd was silent as I walked back to Jean and Logan, Jean was shocked still and Logan was smiling. I looked up at my balcony to see everyone but Dean, my mom and dad, and Sean either in shock, trembling, or both. I smirked up at them. The attendance who was still in shock stayed silent until I to turned to them and bowed, thus seemed to wake them up. Cheers, 'I love you's, 'will you marry me?'s, and multiple other things can be heard. I was beyond ecstatic, deciding that if I came out on top I would make someone in the audience's day. And yes that may have sounded cocky and egotistical but I don't give a shit, I am cocky and egotistical. If you don't like that you can fuck off. We all dropped our weapons on a table close to a wall and walked into the ring. We nodded our heads at each other as a sign of respect and fairness in the fight.

"This is the no-lethal round. All three contestants that have won will go fight each other to figure out who comes out on top." The announcer stated. We all studied each other. Jean was going first that was already certain, we and Logan were closely matched so both of us didn't know who was coming out on top. I made the first move, I went for Jean first, I jabbed her in the gut and kicked her side, she attempted to block but failed, she was knocked to the ground but quickly got up, Logan decided to come in and tackle her. He had her pinned as he throws a knockout punch to her temple. The crowd cheered loudly.

Me and Logan turn to each other. Jean was laying limp on the ground next to me. The crowd immediately quites down and I feel eyes burning into my me. I knew that everyone could sense a history of rough violence between me and Logan. We both didn't move to a fighting stance, we simply faced each other, studying the other. Logan smirked.

"You seem to remember how to hide everything behind your walls. I'm impressed that was the hardest thing for you." He spoke. I stayed emotionless. I saw a slight advantage in his right abdomen, immediately knowing it's fake. In the second I took to observe the fake weak spot Logan dashed forward jabbing me in the gut. I stumbled back a few feet before glaring at him, I stood straight again. I knew from when he had taught me to fight that I could not beat him. Not in hand to hand. Destiny would be able to fight and win against him but I couldn't. I raised my hand, not in surrender but as if I was asking a question in school. Logan stood confused, in his confused state I looked up at my mom.
