Chapter 493
“Evangeline, drink less.”
“I was a bit startled by what happened earlier. Let me drink a little to calm down.”
“You’re not drinking a little, though!”
Evangeline laughed at that. “Feels the same to me.”

Meanwhile, Giselle rested her chin on one hand. Her newly dyed gelden curls draped down her chest, and her green contacts looked like shimmering emeralds. However, her once–vibrant lipstick had smudged a little, and she looked somewhat distracted.
Even when Anathea walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder, she didn’t snap out of it.
“What are you thinking about, so lost in thought?” Anathea asked
Giselle finally came to her senses and shook her head. “Nothing. I’m just thinking about a tricky case.”
“That’s a lie. She’s all spaced out because of her dance partner,” Evangeline chirped with a laugh.
Anathea asked, “Which one?”
“It was-”
Evangeline hadn’t finished her sentence when Giselle unceremoniously clamped her hand over Evangeline’s mouth. “Shush. Don’t say too much when you’re drunk.”
Evangeline widened her eyes in protest.
Anathea couldn’t help but laugh.
At that moment, Olivia walked over and raised her glass toward Anathea. “Good news. Your studio successfully pulled off Juliana and Emory’s wedding. You’re all over the trending searches right now.
“It’s a huge win! I even threw the front page of the news right in the faces of those old fossils at the board meeting. They unanimously approved establishing a long–term partnership with you!”
Evangeline looked delighted. “Really? So, that bastard Frederick can stir up all the drama he wants, and it still won’t matter.”
“Exactly.” Olivia gave a thumbs–up.
“That’s amazing!” Lena covered her mouth in surprise.
Anathea only smiled faintly, as if she had already anticipated all this. Then, she reached out to Olivia, “Hook forward to our long -term cooperation, then.”
“Pleasure doing business.” Olivia returned a satisfied smile and shook Anathea’s hand. “I knew I wasn’t wrong about you.”
Back when Anathea arrived in Grendova, Olivia had been the first person she’d contacted.
When Olivia had seen Anathea at the airport, she was startled by how pale Anathea was. After not seeing Anathea for a while, Olivia hadn’t expected her to look so worn out.
But when she asked Anathea why she insisted on coming, Anathea gave a small smile despite her pale complexion.
“I just wanted to see if I can use the local floral art style to make something different here.”
At that moment, Olivia noticed Anathea’s calm confidence in her smile, one of quiet determination.
In fact, from their brief interaction at that business gala, she had already thought Anathea was someone full of potential,

especially with her resilience. It made Olivia certain that Anathea wouldn’t be someone trapped by marriage but rather someone who would carve out her own world.
Hence, Anathea truly deserved today’s outcome. Olivia was eager to continue working with Anathea.
