Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 44

Cain remained sitting inside his car, he is here now at the outside of the building where his girlfriend lives. He stayed for a few more minutes before deciding to get out of his car and enter the building.

While he was riding in the elevator he still didn't lose his temper, he thought he wouldn't feel this way to his girlfriend.

When the elevator opened he walked quickly until he reached the door of Monique's unit, he knocked three times before it opened.

"Hi babe," the girl smiled at him and kissed him but he ignored it and went straight inside.

The girl was very surprised by her boyfriend's attitude, but she didn't make it a big deal and just closed the door before following him.

She saw Cain just standing there. "Are you okay? What do you want to eat babe?" She asked, but she didn't get an answer.

She walked beside Cain and hugged him. "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

Cain removed hee embrace and faced her. "We need to talk." He said in a serious voice.

"About what?"

"I wanna ask you something, before we went to Canada, are you here in the Philippines or did you go back here?" He asked

The girl laugh. "What? Are you seriously asking me that question? Of course not. You know I'm in canada."

The young man closed his eyes firmly. "Who is Alexa?"

Monique suddenly turned pale at hearing the name mentioned by her boyfriend. "W-who's Alexa? I d-don't know her babe," she stammered in response

The young man sighed as if holding back his anger. "I'm giving you a chance Monique, who is Alexa?"

"What the heck, I said I didn't know that person." 

"Really?" with a sarcastic promise of the young man and laugh. "How come you don't know Alexa, if you are two of our  cousins?"

Monique's eyes widened because of what she heard, she suddenly felt nervous because of it.

"Almost 3 or 4 years ago when Jewel left Thunder's because of what he did to her. Jewel suffered from pain, stress and depression. She woke up every night because she was dreaming of what she had gone through. She suffered big time! For her it was the worst nightmare of her life. And when she survived in that situation we went to Canada to continue her life. And then after months she found out that she was pregnant, she got depressed again and almost had an abortion that cause her life in in danger and you know that Monique ." the young man said. "And you know what I discovered?" he laughed bitterly.

 "Alexa, who was Thunder's ex-fling, is the reason why Thunder did that terrible thing to his own wife by putting drugs in my friend's! But you know what's more painful, Monique? Is when I find out who is really behind that." he added

"C-cain, what are you saying?" Monique is already trembling

"Stop this drama of yours Monique! Damn it! I know you know what I mean, don't act stupid infront of me! I already know the truth, I know everything, I know that you are the mastermind, you ordered your cousin Alexa to do it so the couple could be separated! " he shouted

"B-babe, l-let m-me explain please." She stepped closer but the young man shook his head.

"Fix this? This matter can't be fixed because you chose to betray me! I will never trust a woman like you! You know what? I thought you were different from other women I met but I'm wrong cause now you are the worst." He said without any hesitation

Monique almost fell to her knees at what the person she loved said, even though she had committed a mistake but she knew in her mind and heart that she really loved Cain.

"C-cain, I love you so much. D-don't leave me," she cried

"I can't be with someone as bad as you! I regret  loving you! I regret trusting you." Cain eyes is like a 

Monique quickly stood up and approached the young man. He hugged him tightly as if she didn't want to let go but it didn't last long either because Cain quickly pulled away from her and pushed her away.

"Trust is like a piece of paper, once it's crumpled it will never be the same again. I love you Monique, I've been honest with you all the time, but what I didn't don't know is that everything you show is just for your own plan, because of my great love for you, I was crushed, I built you to destroy me. Loving you is giving me pain. I wish I had never met you, I wish I had never loved you. '' the young man seriously said and walked away

Monique was on her knees when she heard the door open and close, signaling that the young man had left and walked away in her life.

Her chest almost clenched at Cain's words, nothing hurts more than hearing from the person you love that he regrets meeting and loving you. It was like a broken record that kept repeating those words in her mind.

She wondered if they had really come this far. She loves Cain so much so she prefers not to help Margaux because she doesn’t want to lose the young man, but this time it seems like everything is already destroyed. She knows that Cain will be very  when he finds out everything so this is also the reason why she can't tell him what she did wrong, she knows that Jewel is like a sister to Cain so she can't blame him for why the man she loves reacted like this . And she knew that when Thunder and Jewel found out about it, they might be angry at her too, how many years were wasted for the two couples because of what she did, and how many years Storm had no known father because of her.

A few minutes she is thinking about how Cain found out about or who told him about this matter, then suddenly something pops up in her mind. Who is it? She clenched her two hands because of this. "You're a devil, Margaux! I know that you're the only one who did it, you're the one who told Cain," she whispered to herself.
