"Sir." Lincoln got up and asked, "Are you here because the compensation was not enough?"
"I just happened to pass by." Chandler showed no emotion on his face. "Since we met again, I'll give you a ride. Where do you stay?"
"No, thanks." Although Lincoln had a good impression of Chandler, he still kept his guard up. "I'm staying at a nearby hotel. I can go back on my own, so there's no need to trouble you."
Chandler nodded. "Good, you're like a real man." He then turned and left the coffee shop.
"Goodbye, sir." Lincoln jumped up and waved his hand before turning to head toward the counter.
"Hello." He clung to the counter with both hands and scrunched his little face to look pitiful, saying in a tearful voice, "I can't find my mommy.
"Can you let me check the surveillance footage to see where she went? Please?"
No women would be able to resist his cuteness and good look, so he successfully obtained the surveillance footage of Chandler.
It was already dark by the time he left the coffee shop, so he decided to find a hotel to stay in.
Since he hadn't had time to exchange his money, he could only take the Ameridia dollars and try his luck with the receptionists and the manager again. He hoped that they could arrange for him to check in first and assist with the currency exchange.
It should have been an easy thing, but unfortunately, he was under 18 years old and didn't have a domestic identity card. The manager was worried that it might cause trouble and was momentarily at a loss.
"Kid, you can go back with me. I'll bring you to exchange your money tomorrow, and then you can stay at a hotel." A sly-looking staff member targeted the Ameridia dollars in Lincoln's bag and intentionally acted friendly.
"Come on, there's barely any room to stand in your place. Don't suffocate this handsome kid there. I think it's better for him to go back with me." The female staff member really liked kids who were good-looking and even better at sweet-talking.
"Beat it, you young people don't really know how to take care of others. Little one, go back with me. How about I give you all the imported snacks at my house?" The kind-looking manager was fond of Lincoln.
Thus, the group of people tugged and pulled at each other in the lobby.
A satisfied smile spread across his face as he had effortlessly found his target.
Meanwhile, Lincoln was dizzy from being shaken around and let out a faint cry. "Everyone, I just want to stay in a hotel and get a good sleep. Please let me go."
They all fell silent for a moment before swooning again.
"He is so cute."
"Oh, my heart is melting. You must go home with me today."
"Good boy, I'll take care of you."
Lincoln was rendered speechless as he closed his eyes in despair.
