Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1562

Feeling hungry, Helen decided to head downstairs to grab a bite to eat.

While she didn't worry about the Terzian family poisoning her, she realized that with her pregnancy advancing, she needed to be more careful about her food choices.

Helen was well aware of the number of steps in the Terzian residence's staircase, but perhaps due to a spill left by a clumsy housekeeper, she suddenly slipped on the last step.

Fortunately, she reacted quickly, gripping the handrail tightly. At that moment, a large figure appeared beside her, one hand supporting her waist while the other caught her reaching hand.

Turning her head, she found herself locked in Chandler's deep, shadowy gaze. Realizing what was happening, she quickly pulled away, trying to break free from his grasp.

However, Chandler seemed to sense her hesitation. He tightened his grip around her waist, pulling them closer together.

"What do you think you're doing?" Helen shouted, her expression fierce.

"Helly."

Chandler's heartfelt call surprised her, his voice soft and tender.

Before she could respond, he continued, "No matter what concerns you have or what worries are on your mind, I'm here for you."

Helen fell silent, his unwavering certainty leaving her no room for argument.

Noticing her reaction, Chandler finally broke into a smile of relief that had been missing for months. He knew he hadn't been mistaken.

"Honey," he whispered, "you'll always be my only one. No matter how long it takes, I'll wait for you."

They locked eyes, silently acknowledging the unspoken truths that lay between them.

For the first time, "Kaylee's" expression shifted; her guardedness toward Chandler melted away, revealing Helen's loving gaze.

"No." Katie pouted, her expression one of utter dejection. "I didn't want to see anyone without you."

Chandler's expression turned cold, laced with frustration. "I know a very skilled doctor. I'll have him come over."

With that, he stepped into the hallway and called Bernard.

Bernard answered right away. "What's going on? Is the blood bag empty again?"

"No, it's not that," Chandler replied. "What's your experience with gynecology?"

"I'm solid," Bernard answered confidently.

"I just sent you my location. Get here right away."
