Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1550

"Sure!" Katie's eyes instantly lit up.

"No way!" Abraham went over to them. "How can you spend a night at a woman's place before marriage? If this gets out, my daughter's reputation will be ruined."

"Come on, Dad. Why are you so old-fashioned? What year is it now? Chandler is my friend; what's wrong with him staying over for a night? No one will find out if we remain silent about it." Katie wasn't going to let Chandler go, so she started throwing a tantrum.

"Are you trying to annoy me?" Abraham pointed at them with the newspapers, his hand shaking. "Don't do it in the first place if you don't want others to know about it. If this gets out, you'll be the one who suffers losses."

"I don't care anyway, so stop worrying about it." Katie ignored him and dragged Chandler upstairs. "Chandler, I'll bring you to the guest room."

"Katie, stop right there!" Abraham was about to chase after her.

Seeing this, Diana quickly stopped him. "Oh, just let her be. Stop always trying to control everything; it'll only make others dislike you."

"I made others dislike me? I'm doing this for her own good. What do you know?" Abraham got angry. "If she loses her chastity, and Chandler abandons her, who else would dare to want her?"

"You always imagine the worst, so of course you're nervous." Diana stroked his chest to soothe him and persuaded gently, "Listen to me; although Chandler has many scandals, the media has never caught him going home with any woman.

"Katie is the first, which shows that he treats our daughter differently. If you secretly create some opportunities, you'll be Chandler's father-in-law."

Abraham was somewhat convinced as his eyes darted around, seemingly considering the feasibility of this approach.

Diana knew him well and could see that he was already tempted, so she continued to coax, "Times have changed. Young people nowadays are impulsive and might get pregnant before their parents even realize it.

"Kaylee is the best example of it. We already have a daughter who didn't have a wedding, and we can't let Katie follow in her footsteps.

Chandler was silent for a moment before answering, "What's the matter?"

As he spoke, he walked toward where his coat was hanging and reached into the inner pocket of his suit to pull out a packet of powder.

"I have something to tell you. Please open the door." Katie sounded a little shy, with an obvious teasing tone.

Chandler went over to open the door expressionlessly. When the door was opened, Katie stood there in a silk camisole, her hair cascading over her shoulders.

With a bottle of red wine in her hand, she kept winking and sending flirtatious glances. "This wine is from our family's collection. Shall we have a drink together?" She pursed her lips shyly.

Chandler remained unmoved, but he still suppressed his annoyance and stepped aside to let her in.
