Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1540

"Well, a reader tipped you five million dollars. According to the platform's profit-sharing system, you would receive four million dollars.

"Do you know the five-million-dollar has set a new record for the highest reward in online literature over the years? From now on, we can walk tall on all major websites." The editor couldn't hide his excitement, his tone consistently increasing.

"Who is the person?" Helen continued to ask.

"I have no idea. The rich donor logged in as a guest, and the platform has no right to access the person's information," replied the editor.

"I see." After hanging up the phone, Helen couldn't bring herself to smile. She hoped the money wasn't a warning from the other party. After all the effort she put into using Kaylee's identity to carry the baby safely, she must not let them go to waste.

However, Helen's life was quite peaceful in the days that followed, which saved her a lot of worry.

A month later, in the Terzian residence, Helen was about to go downstairs when she heard Diana and Katie talking about Chandler.

"Mom, look at this news—Chandler publicly went out with a female companion, seemingly having the intention of remarrying."

"I've seen that already. Didn't Chandler say he wasn't interested in women? Now, he switches girlfriends frequently. I heard he has taken over Destiny Corporation from Otto; money does corrupt a man," Diana commented meanly.

"Women are attracted to bad guys. Chandler is so handsome; it'd be a loss for us girls if he doesn't date a few more girls." Katie looked infatuated. "Besides, I'm no worse than those models and singers. Maybe I have a chance to become Mrs. Newton, too."

When Abraham walked in from outside and saw them at odds with each other, he instantly frowned. "Why are you both arguing again early in the morning?"

"Dad." Katie stomped her foot in grievance. "Kaylee is being unreasonable; she said she wants to kick me out of the house for no reason. You should discipline her."

Abraham glanced at "Kaylee" and immediately looked away when he met her cold gaze. He could no longer pick on his eldest daughter, so he targeted the more obedient one.

"You're at fault, too. Your sister is pregnant, yet you still get on her nerves. Hurry back to your room to practice playing piano," Abraham scolded Katie.

"I… You… You… Hmph!" Katie, aggrieved and speechless, stomped her foot and ran upstairs defiantly.
