Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1502

"I won't hold back," Helen said with a smile, linking her arm with Abigail's as they stepped outside. "Weren't we just talking about grabbing a bite? Where should we go?"

Abigail felt her breath hitch, her heart pounding in her chest. A wave of panic washed over her; she couldn't believe her idol was being so affectionate.

With a nervous gulp, she stammered, "A-Anywhere is fine by me…"

Evening soon fell, and as Helen approached the front door, she could hear Abraham throwing a tantrum from a distance.

"…Just take a look at this! Look at what the news is reporting. It's utterly humiliating! What's the point of this senseless tabloid nonsense? I've always lived with integrity—how could I possibly have a daughter like this?"

"Dad, please calm down," Katie interjected, feigning concern. "Maybe Kaylee just wanted to earn some extra pocket money to help out…"

As Helen walked in, her eyes found Katie's. In that instant, Katie quickly looked away, unable to hold her gaze.

After the man stormed out of the mall, he called Katie, leaving her feeling anxious about the possibility of "Kaylee" returning to stir up more trouble.

While Katie wasn't concerned about Abraham favoring "Kaylee", she didn't want to complicate matters right before her piano exam.

Fortunately, "Kaylee" did exactly what Katie had anticipated—after a brief glance, she headed straight for the stairs, showing no signs of confrontation.

"Stop right there!"

Just as Katie felt her tension ease, Abraham's explosive outburst jolted her.

"You've probably never even glanced at my work, so what right do you have to criticize me? Why should I even consider your opinion?"

"That's ridiculous!" Abraham's face paled, his blood pressure clearly spiking.

With one hand pressed against his chest, he pointed toward the stairs and ordered, "Return to your room and reflect on your behavior! Don't come out until you've genuinely reconsidered your actions!"

Exhausted from arguing with someone so obstinate, Helen chose to remain silent. With no further comment, she turned and made her way up the stairs.

As soon as she reached the top, Katie leaned in closer to Abraham and whispered, "Dad, I think Kaylee might be pregnant!"

Upstairs, Helen froze, pressing herself against the wall as she strained to listen to every word of the conversation taking place below.
