Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1501

The man's cunning eyes scanned the room before he lunged at Taylor, raising his fist. "Mind your own damn business!"

Fortunately, Taylor was faster. He delivered a swift kick, sending the man sprawling to the ground. By the time Abigail arrived, the man was pinned beneath Taylor's foot.

"You're late," Taylor remarked with a smirk, arms crossed over his chest.

Abigail ignored him and crouched next to the man. She pulled out a knife, twirling it menacingly before his eyes. The cold flash of the blade sent a chill down his spine.

"I hate dealing with complications," she said coldly. "So, here's how it goes—you've got two choices. One, tell me who's behind this, or two, I'll carve 36 holes into you with this knife. You've got ten seconds—ten, nine, six—"

"W-Wait, what happened to eight and seven?" the man stammered, visibly shaken.

Taylor leaned down and slapped him on the forehead. "What's the problem with counting like that?"

"Nothing, nothing…" The man quickly gave in, not daring to argue further.

Abigail continued her countdown. "Five, three, two, zero!"

As soon as the final word escaped her lips, she tightened her hold on the knife, raising it high and aiming directly at the man's shoulder.

"I'll talk!" the man finally cracked, his voice shaking with fear. "It's her sister! Kaylee's sister!"

Abigail's knife stopped just short of his shoulder.

She scoffed, her voice rising in intensity. "How do I know you're telling the truth? What kind of sister would scheme to ruin her own sibling's career? Sounds like a pathetic lie. Maybe I should just stab you a few times for fun instead!"

Exposing a trivial rumor posed little threat to Helen. Although thoughts of revenge occupied her mind, she knew the timing wasn't right. Confronting Katie directly wouldn't lead to any meaningful consequences for her.

Helen planned to let the man go, giving Katie the impression that even though she was aware of her schemes, she wouldn't put up any resistance.

This would only embolden Katie to overstep her boundaries even more. By the time she committed actions that were both legally and socially unforgivable, Helen wouldn't be in a position to confront her all at once.

Since this was a family matter for "Kaylee", Abigail and Taylor couldn't intervene. They reluctantly accepted her decision, watching as the man they had captured was set free.

As Abigail saw him swagger away, frustration washed over her. Turning to "Kaylee", she promised, "If you ever need anything, just let me know."

It was rare for her to hold someone in such high esteem, and it infuriated her that "Kaylee's" family could be so cruel. No matter what happened, she wouldn't let her idol come to harm.
