"What's the big deal? We're all friends; what's wrong with hanging out together?" Taylor shrugged, looking entirely unfazed. "With Helly away, we have to look after Abigail. You're not trying to avoid paying for an extra person, are you?"
"Get lost. Do I look that cheap to you?" Jenson shot back, one hand on his hip and the other rubbing his forehead. "We can handle her another time. Why today of all days?"
"Relax," Taylor said, giving his shoulder a friendly pat. "I'm just trying to charm her and make a move. So, what kind of guys does she usually go for?"
Jenson let out a long sigh, casting a disdainful look at Taylor. "I'm not sure what type of men she liked before, but I can guarantee she won't be into you now."
"No, no, no," Taylor insisted, waving his finger dismissively. "You have no idea what kind of charm I'm packing."
Jenson scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. This level of narcissism would certainly be a turn-off for Germaine.
Just as that thought crossed his mind, Germaine emerged from the resort.
"Ms. Fitzgerald! I can't believe you're here too!" Germaine exclaimed, her face lighting up.
She approached Abigail and gently took her hands. "I've heard so much about you from Ms. Spencer. It's wonderful to finally meet you in person. It's so hot out here—let's head inside to chat, shall we?"
"Absolutely!"
When two attractive women meet, it's natural for them to click and get along well.
Before long, Abigail and Germaine linked arms and strolled closely together into the resort.
As Jenson watched them go, he let out a dramatic sigh. "See? This is exactly why you'll never win her over."
"Ugh, why are you so chatty today? I've told you over and over—I saw it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. Do you really think I'd make this up?" Jenson retorted, shoving him aside in frustration.
In that instant, his attention was completely drawn to Germaine and Abigail as they stepped out of the lounge in their swimsuits.
Taylor couldn't help but steal a glance, and once he did, he found it hard to look away.
Germaine sported a classic bikini that accentuated her stunning figure and flawless skin. In contrast, Abigail's more modest swimsuit had an intriguing allure, subtly showcasing her graceful curves.
Jenson and Taylor exchanged silent glances before awkwardly lowering their heads, stealing looks while pretending to be indifferent.
A few moments later, Jenson raised his gaze again, only to find Germaine intimately applying sunscreen to Abigail's chest.
