Helen paused, her gaze sharpening with newfound clarity.
So that was it—no wonder there had been a second explosion after Kaylee jumped into the water.
They were completely unaware that Kaylee had already spiraled into despair. To prevent her from returning and jeopardizing their "perfect romance", they were willing to sacrifice everyone on board.
How truly cruel.
This woman must be Kaylee's stepsister, Katie Terzian.
Helen's disfigurement was also a result of their actions.
Intrigued, Helen leaned closer, her lips brushing against Katie's ear. She deliberately lowered her voice and whispered in a chilling tone, "I… want you to pay with your life…"
Katie screamed, her eyes rolling back as she collapsed to the floor.
Helen looked down, impatience written across her face. With such cowardice, how could Katie even think of hiring someone to commit murder?
It was hard to imagine how they had driven Kaylee to such despair.
But now wasn't the time for contemplation. It was late, and Helen needed to rest. Turning toward the door, she called out, "Come in."
As her words echoed, a masked Seymour entered, carrying several bags.
15 minutes soon passed.
"Shut up!" Diana snapped, desperate not to reveal too much.
Helen ignored them and walked over to the couch, settling in with an air of tranquility. "Make me a cup of Earl Grey tea," she ordered the housekeeper.
Now that she had found a comfortable spot, she felt ready for a good night's sleep.
Diana and Katie supported each other as they sat down across from her. They scrutinized her face intently, finally confirming that it was indeed the long-dead "Kaylee".
Diana swallowed hard, trying to maintain her composure. "Where have you been these past few months?"
A cold gleam flickered in Helen's eyes as she shot Diana a dismissive glance. "Do I really need to explain my affairs to you?"
