Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1439

The men hesitated. A bottle of whiskey wasn't something to take lightly. Although Caroline had a decent alcohol tolerance among them, it wasn't to that extent.

"She drinks a glass, and I'll drink two." Abigail suggested, tempting them.

"Alright." Caroline was tempted as she filled two glasses to the brim and passed one to Abigail. "Since you're up for it, I'll join in too. Let's drink."

Abigail took the glass and clinked it with Caroline's, uttering with a smile, "Cheers."

By the first glass, both of them were perfectly fine.

By the third glass, Caroline suddenly took a deep breath.

Halfway through the fifth glass, Caroline could no longer down it.

Abigail finished the whiskey in her glass and turned to pressure Caroline softly, "Take your time, Ms. Watson. I'll wait for you."

In this game, it was all about perseverance. After hearing Abigail's words, Caroline became competitive and tilted her head back to gulp down the remaining half glass of whiskey.

However, most of it didn't go in and flowed out from the side. Even so, Caroline still didn't manage to finish it and leaned on the table to throw up.

Abigail shook her head as she put down the glass, got up with her bag, and said condescendingly, "I'm always up for your next challenge, but please don't use Taylor's name like a coward."

She then walked out without looking back. In the hallway, she ran into Taylor, who had just arrived.

"Didn't you say 7:30 pm? I just got here, and you're leaving?" Taylor took a glance at his watch; he even arrived 15 minutes earlier.

"Oh well, the opponent was too weak." Abigail looked straight ahead, not intending to stay at all.

"You do smell like alcohol." Taylor pretended to wave in disgust. "How much did you drink?"

Taylor replied expressionlessly and coldly, "You all can just send her home."

"Taylor, we've been friends for so many years. Are you really going to leave Caroline here and send that woman back?" a man questioned him.

"So I have to get your permission on who I send home?" Taylor narrowed his eyes.

"That's not what I meant." The man looked like he had been badly wronged. "I may sound harsh—Abigail is clearly a heavy drinker, yet she pretended to be a non-drinker and challenged Caroline to a drinking contest. She was quite shameless to cause Caroline to end up like this."

"So you guys are right to make her drink a whole bottle of whiskey?" Taylor shot back.

"She is good at drinking; isn't it normal for her to drink more?" a man retorted.

"Shut up." Taylor was completely enraged.
