"I must have been mistaken; you really are Ronald—the master of nonsense," Helen remarked, her sarcasm cutting through the tension.
Ronald's expression hardened as he gestured behind him, and a bodyguard promptly handed him a folder.
With a smug grin, Ronald waved the folder at Chandler. "Familiar, isn't it? This is the document you just signed. But lurking at the end is a share transfer agreement. Destiny Corporation is now mine."
As Ronald paced the room, his voice dripped with arrogance. "No wonder you were so reckless, discarding your family's assets like they were nothing.
"Turns out you had a little empire stashed away all along, Chandler… or should I say Mr. Sheridan? Quite the secret identity you've managed to keep hidden."
Chandler's face remained inscrutable as he listened. After a brief silence, he finally spoke, his tone deliberate. "Zac, you really can't let this go, can you?"
Ronald spun around, eyes wide with surprise. "Who told you about this?"
"Do I really need someone to tell me?" Chandler replied nonchalantly. "Who else but you would be interested in my assets?"
Zac's eyes sparked with anger, but he quickly masked it with a calm demeanor. "Even if you've figured me out, it doesn't change the fact that you lost to me."
"Don't get too cocky," Chandler warned, his gaze unyielding. "You might want to take a closer look at those documents."
Zac's confident facade started to crack as he furrowed his brow. He opened the file and flipped to the last page, shock washing over him at the sight of "Zac Newton" printed in bold letters.
"How could this happen—" Zac muttered, replaying the details of his plan. There shouldn't have been any mistakes.
"You know I've been using the name 'Otto Sheridan' for years. Did you really think such a petty trick would fool me?" Chandler said coolly. "It seems you're as impatient as ever. Did you honestly believe I'd let a new assistant handle a document that requires four signatures?"
"Let him be," Chandler said, standing up and slipping his hands into his pockets. "If he were open to change, I'd hand him Destiny Corporation in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I doubt he'll ever understand that. His heart is too filled with hatred to allow anything else."
"He won't appreciate your kindness," Helen said, watching Zac fade into the distance. "He's survived this long solely on his hatred."
"By the way, you mentioned needing my assistance with something. What is it?" Chandler asked, redirecting the conversation.
"I need your help to set up a scene," Helen replied earnestly. "My new student could really use a boost."
"Student? You must be talking about Gloria, right? Didn't you say she has a lot of potential?" Chandler asked.
"She has talent, but she lacks the confidence to fully invest herself. This upcoming competition is different from previous ones, and while I want her to succeed, I also want to avoid any complications. If possible, I'd like to give her a push to help her stand on her own."
