Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1430

A few days later, at Destiny Corporation's headquarters, Chandler sat at his desk, glancing over at Helen on the sofa. "You've been out and about every afternoon lately. What brings you here today?" he teased.

"I wouldn't come without a reason. Naturally, I'm here just to annoy you," Helen replied, a playful smile on her lips.

"Well, I wish you'd drop by to 'annoy' me more often," Chandler joked.

"Don't you think we have enough on our plates as it is?" Helen countered with playful reproach.

Chandler chuckled softly. "As long as I get to see my wife, I don't mind a little trouble."

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in," Chandler said, quickly adopting a serious expression.

The door opened, and Laura's assistant stepped inside.

"Mr. Sheridan," she said, placing a document on his desk. "Ms. Laura needs your signature on this contract."

Chandler picked up the document, glancing over it briefly before flipping through the specific clauses.

Noticing his scrutiny, the assistant added, "You only need to sign on the last two pages."

Chandler raised his gaze, his piercing eyes locking onto hers with an undeniable authority.

The assistant's eyes flickered momentarily before she quickly looked away, lowering her head.

This small gesture sparked Chandler's suspicions, but he remained composed. He casually turned to the last page and pointed at the signature line. "Here?"

"Damn, you still have the guts to show up, huh?"

One of Helen's reasons for visiting Chandler was to leverage Destiny Corporation's resources to investigate Ronald's background. She certainly hadn't expected him to show up right at their doorstep.

"I'm a law-abiding citizen, aren't I? Why can't I be here?" Ronald said, grinning with self-satisfaction.

As he settled into his seat across from Chandler, he took in his surroundings. "The decor isn't bad, but it's not really my style. I'd need to tear it all down and completely redesign it."

"What are you trying to say?" Chandler replied, staying composed in his seat.

"Isn't it obvious?" Ronald shot back, shrugging his shoulders. "You should take a good look around this office while you can. Today's your last day here."
