Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1401

The rumors about the black hole in Whispering Woods had been a clever deception, enticing physicists into a trap that allowed them to be smuggled across the border between two countries.

Everything had been executed flawlessly, leaving no trace behind.

Helen glanced up at Chandler, realization dawning in her eyes. He mirrored her seriousness; their shared understanding was palpable.

"Are they Sapanian?" she wondered boldly.

Chandler shook his head, rejecting the notion. "If they went to such great lengths for this kidnapping, they wouldn't make it so simple for us to figure out who they are.

"At least we can confirm the students are safe for now," he added.

Helen fell silent, recognizing the truth in his words. No one would go to such extreme lengths merely to recover the deceased. It seemed they were truly powerless to bring the students back.

"We need to head back," Chandler said, maintaining his composure as he guided Helen away. "The weather is unpredictable here; if it rains, we'll be in serious trouble."

Helen followed him without question. As they made their way down the slope, she couldn't resist stealing one last glance back.

For a fleeting moment, she thought she saw Rowan waving at her, vibrant and full of life. But just as swiftly, a gust of wind carried that vision away.

"Come on," Chandler called, giving her a gentle pat on the shoulder.

Helen turned away, gripping the last memento from Rowan tightly. She moved steadily out of the deep mountains, one step at a time.

Outside, Sebastian was waiting, his eyes lighting up as he spotted them. He rushed over, wrapping a blanket around Helen to shield her from the cold.

"Here, put this on! It's getting chilly; you don't want to catch a cold," he urged.

"Was everything okay?" he asked, looking over at Chandler.

"Yeah, it went smoothly," Chandler replied, maintaining his composed demeanor.

After a moment, he pulled Sebastian aside to share their concerns.

"Don't worry, boss. We'll find him," Paul replied.

Once the call ended, Helen began to pack her things, but her racing thoughts made it hard to concentrate.

Just then, Chandler walked in. Seeing the disarray of clothes and her half-packed suitcase, he crossed over and wrapped her in his arms.

At that moment, Helen felt her restless emotions start to settle.

Chandler gently stroked her head, his voice warm and reassuring. "I'm going back with you."

It wasn't a request; it was a firm declaration. No matter what she chose, he would stand by her side.

Helen held him close, reluctant to let go. Eventually, she pushed him away. "I wish I could bring you with me, but I can't leave things unresolved here in Windspire City. Don't worry; with Taylor and the others around, I'll be safe.

"You need to stay and investigate the casino further. We might uncover who's really behind all of this. We can't let this opportunity go to waste."
