Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1383

That evening, Chandler headed to another mining site to take care of some business.

Feeling a bit restless, Helen decided to visit a cozy tavern in the nightlife area to unwind. Just as her drink was served, the live singer stepped onto the stage.

Helen raised her glass and looked toward the performer, only to quickly set it back down. What a small world—she had run into yet another familiar face in Windspire City.

The woman on stage held her electric guitar tightly, pouring her heart into the performance. Every gesture and expression beautifully radiated the song's emotion.

After finishing two captivating numbers, she took a final bow and began to pack up her equipment. Suddenly, a swaying male patron stumbled onto the stage. He held a drink in his hand, seemingly trying to buy her a round.

"My job is to sing, not entertain guests. I'm sorry, but I can't drink," the woman replied firmly, standing her ground.

Furious, the man hurled his drink at her, making threats of violence. Fortunately, the bar owner quickly intervened, diffusing the situation and getting him to back off.

Without seeking an apology or creating a scene, the woman quietly packed her things and walked out, behaving as though nothing had happened.

As Helen hurried outside, she saw the woman strapping her guitar to her motorcycle. Approaching her, Helen offered a tissue from her bag.

The woman shot her a cold glance before returning to her guitar.

Pulling her tissue away, Helen spoke up, "You're Celine Kowalski, a two-time award-winning actress and an exceptionally talented performer.

"At the peak of your career, you became entangled in the marriage of acclaimed actor Mateo Elsher, making you the target of damaging rumors.

"What's got you in such a good mood?" Chandler asked, playfully ruffling her hair.

"I just signed a major player, so I'm thrilled," Helen replied, beaming with pride.

"From what I could see, she didn't seem too eager to talk to you," Chandler said matter-of-factly.

Celine certainly had that cool, aloof vibe—very much in style these days.

"Just wait and see," Helen said with confidence, looking ahead. "She'll definitely reach out to me again."

After all, anyone truly passionate about music would never let themselves fade into obscurity.
