Helen paused for a moment and added, "That's right, let's announce it like this and keep some suspense for the finals."
"We'll definitely do as you say," Augustine agreed readily.
With Helen on board, the Calligraphy Association would definitely regain its former glory. It made no difference whether it was announced a few days earlier or later; what was important was that Helen was happy.
…
Dylan was on bad terms with Augustine, so he was not involved in Helen's evaluation. Still, his curiosity got the better of him. That evening, he called the president of a calligraphy association he was acquainted with to ask about the result.
"Mr. Beischel, how is the student brought by Augustine?" Dylan asked directly.
"You brat, didn't you say that you're not interested in it?" The man, Wilbur Beischel, teased him. "We are all in the same association. Do you really plan not to talk to Augustine forever?"
"Forget it if you don't want to tell; why did you suddenly bring him up? I'm hanging up," Dylan said haughtily.
"Alright, alright. Stop playing hard to get. Let me tell you, that girl is not graded." Wilbur wanted to surprise Dylan, so he didn't tell the truth.
"Not graded? What do you mean? There has to be a grade, be it A+, A, B, or C." Dylan was skeptical. "Mr. Beischel, just tell me the truth. What is her grade?"
"Look, you don't even believe me." Wilbur laughed heartily at the other end of the phone. "The truth is she has no grade. You can call and ask others if you don't believe me."
Dylan could only give up. After hanging up the phone, he leaned against the railing of the balcony, lost in his own thoughts.
Could it be that Augustine had misjudged her this time? He found a student who was only capable of copying, and it was found out during the evaluation, which caused her to be disqualified from evaluation.
This seemed to be the only explanation that made sense.
At the thought of this, Dylan revealed an intriguing smile. Augustine would also have moments of misjudgment.
"Our people are usually well-trained, but based on the conditions of the bodies, they were killed without any resistance. The attackers obviously came with malicious intent."
Chandler's eyes darkened as he replied in a weary and heavy tone, "I got it."
He scanned through the wreckage in the villa and then fixed his gaze on the safe. As expected, the safe had been pried open, and all the human skin masks inside had been taken away.
Chandler let out a sigh and frowned. These people who kidnapped Seymour must be planning a bigger conspiracy behind.
Seymour had the copies of Chandler's and Helen's masks. If the other party impersonated them to commit crimes and provoke their enemies, they both would be in great danger.
It seemed like he had to reveal his identity to Helen as soon as possible. Compared to the possible fallout, Helen's safety was the most important thing.
Chandler felt a strong sense of uneasiness. Who could possibly have kidnapped Seymour right under his nose?
