Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1300

Helen's ancestors were in the business of selling paintings? She might as well say that they were selling protective films. Did Ashley look so easily deceived?

Ashley looked at Helen with a complex expression, unable to calm down. The person Ashley had been looking for was right in front of her. She couldn't believe her luck in effortlessly finding her.

By the time Helen and Ashley returned with the painting, everyone had moved to the main hall of the villa. Ezra was sitting on the sofa, his brows still tightly knitted. He seemed to still be in a fit of rage.

Earlier, someone had told him Helen's identity. Besides Chandler, she was also on good terms with Otto from Destiny Corporation.

If they were to fall out today, it would benefit no one. But he was truly unwilling to accept that his precious possession had been ruined so easily.

He was thinking if she could bring out a convincing counterfeit to soothe him, he might be willing to make some concessions.

Hearing footsteps, Ezra slowly raised his head and saw Helen holding a rolled-up piece of paper. His hope was instantly shattered.

"Where is the authentic painting of Ms. Quarto?" Ezra asked directly, leaving her no chance to get away.

Helen tapped the rolled-up painting in her hand and shook it playfully. "It's here."

She then held the middle part of the painting and unfurled it, revealing the painting of peonies.

Halfway unrolling it, Ezra's mouth dropped open in astonishment, and his eyes were gleaming with excitement.

When the painting was completely spread out, he walked up uncontrollably and took the painting from Helen, admiring it with intense fascination.

"But this is odd." The appraiser touched the paper with his hand, which was instantly stained by the paints.

He muttered to himself in confusion, "Ms. Quarto's 'Peony Fantasia' was created years ago. Why are the paints still wet?"

"Ahem." Helen cleared her throat awkwardly. "Well, it might be because of the recent high humidity and lack of protective measures. But this won't affect the authenticity of the painting, right?"

"Of course, it won't affect it." The appraiser shook his head with a smile. "This painting is not only a work by Ms. Quarto, but it's even better than her previous artworks.

"It's evident that Ms. Quarto keeps pushing her own boundaries even though she has maintained a low profile in recent years. Her dedication is commendable."

Hearing this, Helen cast a triumphant glance at Ashley, reassuring her. Ashley pursed her lips slightly and put on an awkward smile.
