Shaun rose abruptly from his seat. He was about to head toward Jameson when Anna came running in from somewhere else and found him. She asked hurriedly, "You're Ms. Samantha's boyfriend, aren't you, sir?"
She had made an impression on Jameson as Shaun's date. Noticing how anxious she looked, he nodded. "Yes, I am. What's the matter?"
"I met her when I was in the restroom just now. She wasn't feeling well and passed out. You should take a look now," Anna said.
Jameson felt his nerves overcome him. He handed his glass to a waiter nearby and followed Anna to the women's restroom.
Shaun didn't know what they were talking about, but upon noticing that they headed off somewhere together, he followed after them with a frown on his face.
Jameson opened the door to the restroom, only to see Samantha on the floor. She was foaming at the mouth, her body seizing. The visible areas of her skin were covered with red dots. It was a shocking sight.
"Samantha!" Jameson immediately stepped forward. He didn't try to carry Samantha in his arms but instead inspected her body and ascertained the situation first. This was what he usually did as a doctor.
After sweeping Samantha's hair to the side, to reveal her face, he noticed that Samantha's face was red and her breathing was labored. She inhaled lightly but exhaled deeply, looking close to going into anaphylactic shock.
Anna was terrified upon seeing Samantha's state. She looked like she had been poisoned. She heard that Coke and garlic salt combined could serve as an aphrodisiac; she hadn't heard that it could be fatal!
Instinctively, she made to run away, but then Shaun happened to arrive at the restroom. Noticing that something wasn't right, he dashed inside despite it being the women's restroom, just to see Samantha who was collapsed on the floor.
Anna was pale from shock as she stammered, "I-I-I didn't know… I'm sorry…"
"If something happens to her, I'll kill you!" Shaun flung her arm away and went to carry Samantha.
When Anna saw how red Shaun's eyes were and how tightly he held onto Samantha, as if he were about to go mad, she felt nothing but fear. She felt like she had done something utterly unforgivable. Her future was basically ruined.
Jameson was now sure that Samantha was showing allergic symptoms. "Quick, take her to the hospital."
Shaun knew that. He held tightly onto Samantha and left, completely ignoring everyone else's strange looks. Jameson followed after him. He drove his car over, and both of them sent Samantha to the hospital.
