Jameson was a psychiatrist and Samantha's ex-boyfriend. Even Millie approved of their relationship, although the two eventually parted ways.

"Samantha, you're back." Jameson was surprised to see her.

"Just arrived. Thank you for helping my mom." Samantha smiled.

"It's my duty." Jameson smiled back. "Here's Mrs. Steele's medical report. She's in excellent health."

Millie noticed the look Jameson was giving Samantha and understood his feelings immediately. She smiled. "Thank you, Jameson. You're always welcome to visit our home."

Jameson beamed at Samantha. "I'd be glad to visit if Samantha allows it."

Just then, Millie's assistant finished the discharge paperwork, and Moses arrived to drive them home. At the hospital entrance, Samantha was about to open the back seat door when Millie stopped her.

"Samantha, the car's too full for everyone. Let Jameson give you a ride back," Millie said as she climbed into the front passenger seat and locked the door before waving from inside the car.

Samantha stared at the empty back seat, speechless. Was she really their child?

"I'll drive you home," Jameson offered, understanding that Millie was creating an opportunity for him and flashing a grateful smile toward her.

Samantha reluctantly agreed and got into his car.

During the drive, Jameson tried to make small talk. "It must be quite lively over at Jadonia during this festive season."

For some reason, his kindness made Samantha think of Shaun. Back when they were together, Shaun never let her sleep in the car, saying it wasn't safe or comfortable. If she ever accidentally fell asleep, Shaun would just carry her out of the car. He would never wait for her to wake up.

"Thank you." Samantha opened the door and got out.

"Samantha," Jameson called out.

She turned back. "Yes?"

"There's something I feel you should know." Jameson stared at her. "I regret breaking up with you back then. For years, I've been waiting, hoping that one day, you'd look back and give me another chance."
