Shaun was sure he hadn't drunk enough to be seeing things, yet his hands trembled as he held his phone.
"What's this?" He shoved the phone in front of one of his friends.
The friend took a closer look and burst out laughing. "Who sent this? It's an Amazon link! She must be desperate for money to be sending this to you, Shaun."
A few of the hostesses crowded around, eager to join in on the fun and mockery.
"Who's this?"
"She's got a… unique way of catching your attention."
"Wow, I'm jealous she has Mr. Thompson's contact! Can I have your number too?"
"Same! Except I promise I wouldn't send this kind of junk message."
"A woman who uses Amazon isn't suited for you, Mr. Thompson. Go ahead and block her."
"What's she even trying to buy? A phone? I could buy her one just to get her out of Mr. Thompson's sight."
"Maybe she just sent it by mistake?"
Another hostess added, "Actually, I heard Amazon won't give out discount prices easily. From what I've heard, it's very tricky. You need hundreds of people showing interest in a product for them to give out discount prices. Why don't we all join a group chat, and you can share the link with us? We can all pitch in."
She took the lead, getting everyone to join a group. "Let's all call in our family members and friends to help obtain the discount price."
Aside from the hostesses, the rest of Shaun's friends were all either wealthy or businessmen. They were only here to flatter Shaun. But to have them fight to have discount prices? That was unheard of! Some of them didn't even have Amazon accounts.
But this was to help Shaun. It was a rare opportunity to get in his good graces. More importantly, they had crossed Shaun earlier. If they didn't make it up to him now, Shaun might just call off the business deals.
Hence, everyone joined in, some even downloading the Amazon app if they didn't already have it. They even shared the link to their family group chats, asking others to help.
