Shaun and Samantha locked eyes, both their faces marked with shock and disbelief.

After all this back-and-forth, was the online match they were supposed to meet none other than their ex from five years ago?

Samantha asked, "Are you the mall security guard with a monthly salary of 3,000 dollars, who doesn't have a house or a car, and is looking for a partner?"

Shaun narrowed his eyes. "Are you the jewelry salesperson with a pay of 2,000 dollars, who lives off of commissions, and is hoping to find someone to marry and settle down with?"

An awkward silence filled the air.

Caught between awkwardness and confusion, Samantha's mind raced. She had imagined Mr. Diamond in countless ways, yet Shaun had never crossed her mind. Now, here he was!

Feeling deceived, she couldn't help but scold him, "A security guard who's looking for a partner? Did you actually think of that? Aren't you ashamed? You hate liars, yet here you are, lying to others!"

Shaun felt conflicted. He couldn't deny that he had tossed out that identity on a whim as he had been fed up with women who flocked to him solely because of his status. But she had believed him, and one lie led to another.

If he had known Princess in Flats was Samantha, he wouldn't have lied. In fact, he wouldn't have needed to wear these cheap clothes Douglas had bought him or fill his phone with irritating apps. Now that everything was out in the open, he was more than embarrassed.

"You're one to talk! A jewelry salesperson? Looking for a partner to settle down with? It's just a trap for gullible men, right?" Shaun sneered. "I can't believe you'd go around lying to men online."

"You're the liar! I do want to get married and settle down, unlike you! And let's not forget how you bragged about being single and, what was it? Oh, a virgin?" Remembering his past escapades, Samantha scoffed. "You? The player himself claiming to be a virgin?"

Realizing they were making a scene, Shaun and Samantha abruptly stopped and parted ways.

The bartender and the two men were shocked. Why did the two leave? Things were just getting good!
