Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 981

Awkwardness filled the air as Bernard, Hera, Shaun, and Samantha stared at each other.

"What a coincidence, sweetie," said Bernard, breaking the silence. "You said you were heading out with Samantha. I didn't know Shaun and I would run into you two here."

Hera asked, "You told me you and Shaun were going to grab a drink. Is this the bar you wanted to go to?"

After they finished voicing their questions, Hera and Bernard seemed to realize something and simultaneously turned to look at Samantha and Shaun.

Meanwhile, Samantha and Shaun stared daggers at each other. Samantha was the first to speak.

"You must've followed me here!" she accused.

He was dressed so casually. Maybe he had listened in on Hera and Samantha's conversation and purposely came over.

Shaun was mad at being wrongly accused, of course. "You don't own this bar! What makes you think you're the only person who can come here?"

He never thought that he'd bump into her here. How unfortunate!

It'd be so embarrassing if she found out that he was here to meet his online date while pretending to be a poor guy. His date tonight would be ruined if she revealed his identity.

He started to wonder if it wasn't too late to change the venue of the date.

His words just now rendered Samantha speechless. She had no right to stop him from going anywhere he liked. However, if he stayed and learned that she was here to meet Mr. Diamond, she'd be mocked by him for the rest of her life.

Getting mocked by Shaun wasn't that big of a deal. The thing was that she and Mr. Diamond would never be together if her identity was revealed.

After all, Mr. Diamond had once told her that he hated liars and that he valued honesty.

Eventually, Samantha said, "This bar isn't for you. It's too plain and doesn't suit your taste. I suggest you head to the bar on the left side of the street. I've heard that the women who go there are all gorgeous."

Shaun checked the time. Two minutes ago, Princess in Flats texted him saying that she was also on her way here. It was too late for them to change their venue.

"I like things plain and simple now," he spat.

"You—" Samantha couldn't think of a comeback.

Just then, Bernard interrupted them, "Do continue chatting, you two."

To Hera, he said, "Sweetie, why don't we head in and have a drink?"

Princess in Flats: "What color is your shirt?"

She had just tapped the "send" button when Shaun looked up from his phone in the middle of the bar. Noticing this, Samantha hastily darted out of his sight.

This would not do. She had to do something.

Glancing around, she got an idea and called the boss over to her side. Then, she looked in Shaun's direction and said, "See that guy in a white singlet over there? I want him out of here."

The boss followed her gaze and saw two men sitting at the table. They gave off a sophisticated and elegant vibe, but one of the men was wearing a cheap-looking singlet.

The boss instantly got what Samantha meant. The man in the white singlet was probably a reporter or journalist.

"No problem," the boss responded readily, patting his chest. "I'll have him removed from my bar."

That said, he reached for the walkie-talkie on his waist and called security to take action.

By the time the security guards came, lots of customers had arrived. Worried that it'd cause a commotion, Samantha told the boss, "Keep it low. I don't want to get too much attention."
