Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 956

"I can't sleep because I'm too happy." Delight filled Bernard's eyes as he leaned over and whispered in Hera's ear, "Wifey, I love you so much."

Hera was numb, having already heard his sweet sayings for the whole night. Since she was still sleepy, she drowsily hummed in response before changing into a comfortable position to continue sleeping.

However, Bernard refused to let her off so easily and kept nibbling on her earlobe. "Let's get our marriage certificate today, okay? We can host an extravagant wedding later."

Hera was on the brink of losing her temper. "It's New Year's. No one at the city hall will be working."

"That's why I'm asking them to drop by our villa," Bernard answered.

Hera thought she heard wrong and was rather speechless. "You're truly—"

"I'm afraid if we don't quickly register our marriage, you'll return the ring to me like you did that year." Bernard's voice sounded aggrieved.

Hera said outright, "That's because you upset me."

"I won't do it again," Bernard immediately replied.

Seeing how obedient he was, Hera reached out to pat him on the head. "That's good to hear."

Bernard took the chance to hug her. "Since I've been on my best behavior, will I be rewarded?"

Hera could feel him getting hard. They had been lost in each other's arms for the whole night. If they went for another round now, she would be completely exhausted.

After the incident happened, Bernard wasn't able to investigate in time as his memories were tampered with later.

"Back then, Everly was hanging off the branch at the cliff when she told me that someone from the Killian family had given her a hand. Given that situation, she wouldn't have lied to me," Hera added.

If one of the Killians really did assist Everly, the actual culprit behind the scenes should be still around. Since the purpose was to cause Hera's and Catherine's deaths, Hera was determined not to let the culprit off easily.

"I'll do a thorough investigation," Bernard promised while holding Hera tightly in his arms.

"Alright!" This time, Hera had no objection. Not only did the matter involve the Killians, but it also affected the safety of Bernard, Dylan, and Dora at the Killian residence.

Since Hera already agreed to marry Bernard, they were one for life.
