Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 949

"I've solved it too! I was one minute faster than him!" Gino said proudly.

"If Samantha hadn't kept asking me to take photos with her, I would've been quicker than you!" Dylan said resentfully.

Gino then said, "When you were taking photos, I didn't do anything. I didn't code!"

Bernard was already in a bad mood after being interrupted. Now, he had a headache from their argument. He closed the door and said coldly, "Did you call me out to see you two argue?"

Dylan and Gino immediately stopped arguing.

"Take a look." Dylan showed Bernard his laptop screen. "You promised me before that you'd teach me if I solved the challenge."

Bernard wasn't in a hurry to look at the laptop screen. Instead, he asked, "What did you call me just now?"

All of a sudden, Dylan felt awkward. In the past, he didn't think highly of Bernard even though he was his biological father. However, after he learned about Bernard's code name, he instantly started to admire Bernard.

It was easy to get a man's admiration. You just had to be stronger than him to be his role model.

"Dad," said Dylan without hesitation, unlike in the past.

Bernard smiled. "Good boy."

When Gino met Bernard's sharp gaze, he knew it was wise to adapt to the situation and swallowed nervously before addressing Bernard respectfully. After all, he wanted to learn from Bernard as well.

It was only then that Bernard stepped out of the room satisfactorily. He took Dylan's laptop and sat down in the workspace. After checking the code Dylan wrote, he said, "Not bad."

Although Dylan spent quite some time on the challenge, he was patient enough to try to solve it. It meant that he liked coding a lot and had the talent. Upon being acknowledged by Bernard, Dylan couldn't resist smiling.

"Take a look at mine." Gino handed Bernard his laptop as well.

Bernard skimmed through the code quickly. "It isn't bad."

Once Bernard acknowledged Gino's skills, Gino couldn't hide how proud he was. "Of course, but can you not tell Hera about this?"

After all, Gino was learning it in secret. Usually, a teacher wouldn't want her students to learn from someone else, right?

Bernard could see through his thoughts. He didn't mind it, though. In fact, he was happy to teach Gino on behalf of Hera. In this way, Hera would have time to be with him.

Then, Bernard gave them different challenges to solve again based on their levels. "Here's a new challenge. Continue to solve it. But you can't keep sitting in front of the laptop. You need to play with Dora for a while. And don't interrupt my discussion with your mother in the room," said Bernard.

As for what discussion it was, Dylan had no idea. Nevertheless, he was happy to receive a new challenge. He hugged his laptop and went to look for Dora along with Gino.

Bernard gave Dora a black card with unlimited credit. "With me around, you can buy anything you want in the future."

"Thank you, Daddy," said Dora sweetly. Then, she turned around and gave it to Hera. She whispered, "Mommy, hurry up and hide it. It's Daddy's card with unlimited credit. I'll have Dyl ask Daddy for one more later."

Hera couldn't help but laugh.

"It's so lively outside. Let's go out and play too." Samantha was attracted by the liveliness outside.

It was usually quiet at the beach during the night, but as there was a light exhibition for New Year's Eve that night, it was bright out. Many people were playing with fireworks and viewing the light exhibition. It was exceptionally lively.

Hera held Dora's and Dylan's hands. At first, she was worried that she would lose them. But after a while, she realized that they were more courageous than she had thought. They made a few friends very soon and played in the sand together happily.

"There are bodyguards following them. You don't need to worry," said Bernard when he saw that Hera kept looking at the kids.

Hera noticed that several people were arranged by Bernard nearby, but as a mother, she couldn't control her instinctive habits.

"Are you tired? Let's sit down and rest." Bernard found two beach chairs.

Hera lay on the beach chair and looked at the lively crowd. She sighed and said, "I didn't expect so many people to celebrate New Year's in Lumiville."
