Once Dora got the herbs needed for the aphrodisiac, she left the room with the excuse that she suddenly remembered she hadn't finished all her homework.
She headed for the consulting room and gazed at Hera hopefully, saying, "Mommy, Eli invited me to his place for dinner. Can I go?"
Hera was busier for the day, so she didn't mind. Besides, she wasn't about to stop Dora from making friends. "Did you finish your homework? I'll ask Tiffany to drop you off."
"I'll finish my homework at Eli's house, and there's no need to drop me off. I'll be taking the train with Eli," Dora rejected Hera's offer.
It was a rare chance for Dora to spend time with Eli. She wanted to make use of that opportunity and not let others interfere.
"Alright. Be careful. I'll transfer some money so that you can buy some fruits for your visit. Call me if you need anything. I'll ask your daddy to pick you up at 8:30 pm," Hera said while transferring 500 dollars to Dora.
"Okay. Love you, Mommy." Dora kissed Hera on the cheek before returning to the living room, where Eli was waiting for her. "Alright. Let's go."
An hour later, they stepped out of the train. Dora didn't use the money Hera gave her to buy fruits. Instead, Dora went to a milk tea shop and ordered four cups of milk tea. She intentionally selected two chocolate milk teas with foam on top.
"You don't need to order so many drinks. I don't want any. You order whatever you want for yourself."
Eli noticed that a milk tea could go up to eight dollars. Not only was it bloody expensive, but it was terribly sweet. Eli didn't understand what was so nice about milk tea that so many girls enjoyed drinking it.
"Absolutely not," Dora said. "These drinks will play a very important role tonight!"
Eli didn't understand. However, he still took the initiative to pay since Dora mentioned she wanted them.
He usually worked a part-time job after school in the afternoon. He helped wash the dishes at a barbecue shop, which earned him ten dollars in two hours.
Since he worked five days a week, he would earn 50 dollars in total. That was enough for four cups of milk tea.
"No need. Mommy gave me money and asked me to bring some gifts to your place. You can pay for me next time." Dora scanned the QR code to make a payment right away, not giving Eli a chance to stop her.
Eli remained confused but still led her toward his home. On the way, Dora stopped by the florist to buy some fresh flowers, candles, and other items that would enhance the atmosphere.
Eli noticed that Dora seemed to know what she was doing, so he couldn't help but ask, "How do you know all this?"
"Oh, all these are nothing. My daddy often prepares surprises for my mommy. I naturally knew what to do after seeing it often," Dora said.
She suddenly recalled Eli wasn't exposed to these things, so she immediately added, "Learn from all these tonight. Once that dude becomes your father, you can often help him set up these romantic atmospheres at home."
Eli was looking forward to that. "Sure."
After buying everything, they carried all sorts of packages to Eli's house. At that moment, Amelia was busy in the kitchen. She was surprised that Dora and Eli bought so many things.
"You've arrived, Dora. Why did you buy so many things?"
