Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 1053

Hera didn't think of it that way. "Bernard would never agree to Dora dating as long as she's not grown up yet. Besides, they're so young. Things can change a lot before they reach the age of marriage. You should worry less and focus on your pregnancy."

"I know what you mean, but think about it. Bernard set his eyes on you from a very young age. Who knows if Dora will take after his odd personality?"

Hera pondered about it. That would be hard to tell.

Samantha continued, "Absolutely not. I need to arrange for Zach to have more playdates with Dora to build up their relationship. I'll send him to Somerset Academy tomorrow! He'll even skip grades so that he can be in the same class as Dora."

Hera didn't know whether to cry or laugh. "It's best if you don't complicate things for our children."

Meanwhile, Gideon had just finished signing a contract with a client, an experienced CEO called Portia Banks. She politely said, "Happy to be working with you, Mr. Everett. Shall we have dinner upstairs?"

"I can't. I still have some personal matters to attend to and will take my leave first. Please go ahead," Gideon rejected Portia with a smile.

"The rumors are true—you're indeed elusive," Portia teased with a smile. "We've discussed the contract for so many days, and you're not free every day. You must have quite a beauty waiting for you, am I right?"

Gideon smiled. "I really do have something personal to handle. I'll buy you dinner the next time you drop by Norburgh."

"Then, I'll pick the perfect day to visit you. Can't have you bailing on me," Portia said with a smile.

Gideon flashed her a charming smile and nodded. "Sounds good. I'll be off now."

Benedict quickly put away the contracts before keeping up with Gideon. As soon as the two entered the elevator, Benedict couldn't help but tease Gideon, "Mr. Everett, I think Ms. Banks was interested in you."

Gideon cast a glance at Benedict. The charming smile from earlier was nowhere to be seen. Benedict immediately shut his mouth. He couldn't just make fun of Gideon.

The two headed for the hotel's car park. Benedict started the car and asked, "Mr. Everett, are we going to the hospital?"

Benedict did his best to park the car close to the sidewalk so that Gideon could get down. He watched Gideon cross the road and enter the phone shop on the other side. He came out within five minutes, holding a bag with a new phone.

"Mr. Everett, you changed your phone so quickly," Benedict remarked as Gideon got into the back seat again. Benedict remembered that Gideon just changed his phone two months ago when the new model was released back then.

"It's for someone else," Gideon answered.

"Ms. Gaskell?" Benedict couldn't help but want the scoop.

Instead of answering, Gideon asked, "Do you have too little work lately?"

It was another way of asking Benedict whether he had too much free time to spare.

"No!" Benedict immediately kept quiet and dared not to ask anymore.
